Guest guest
Glutatathione Yesterday I posted a comparison of the old " Lipoceutical " glutathione and the new " Essential " glutathione and asked why anyone would prefer the old one to the new one. Coincidentally I got the Brainchild Nutritionals newsletter in my inbox later that night. Terri Mykland has a pretty good rationale and I thought I would post it here. I hope it is ok to do that. It comes in the context of an ad for their products. Josie _______________________________________________________ Hi Everybody, Long time no write. We're extremely busy this Spring, starting work on a larger production facility, and some new products as well. We'll be at the DAN conference in Washington, DC and AutismOne in Chicago, and I hope we get to see many of you there. I'm writing to tell you about a product we're just started carrying that may be of interest to many of you. If you've been working on helping your child biomedically, you probably know just how crucial glutathione is. We are delighted to announce that we are now carrying the original LipoCeutical Glutathione previously carried by Wellness Pharmacy. This is a liquid, liposomal form of Glutathione that is pretty easy to give, and excellently absorbed. Our regular price will be $60 for four ounces, but through Thursday 3/24, it is available to you at an introductory price of $58. The LipoCeutical Glutathione we are carrying is the original formula, not Wellness' new one. We strongly believe that this original version is easier on our kids' sensitive bodies. The " new " formula contains sodium benzoate -- this is an ingredient we would not use. Sodium benzoate is a petrochemical-based preservative which can overload the glutathione and glycine liver detox channels -- channels which most often don't work very well in kids on the spectrum. A recent study in the UK associated sodium benzoate with increased hyperactivity in children. All in all, we feel there are very good reasons not to put it in kids' bodies. The original LipoCeutical Glutathione formula contains instead potassium sorbate, which we also use in all of our BrainChild vitamin and mineral products. Our regular price for LipoCeutical Glutathione will be $60 for four ounces as of Friday, which is still less than the $65 being charged elsewhere. We hope it will continue to be an excellent value for you. I don't know if this has happened to any of you, but my son's doctor just informed me that my son will probably need to take glutathione in some form all his life, so I know I for one am glad to have a good, safe source for this critical nutrient. In case you're interested, by the way, here's a pretty compelling visual we developed a few years back, which may reinforce for you just how central glutathione rally is, and how many, many of the nutrients we give our children are involved in helping the body make and recycle glutathione more effectively: http://www.brainchildnutritionals.com/BCNDOCS/glutathione%20chart.JPG Take good care of yourselves, moms and dads, as well as the little ones, of course. Hope to see you in Washington DC for the Mercury March ( <http://www.themercurygenerationmarch.org/> http://www.themercurygenerationmarch.org/) With Great Hope, Terri, and the whole Brainchild family www.brainchildnutritionals.com <http://www.brainchildnutritionals.com/> 831 465-0104 Here's a little description of the LipoCeutical Glutathione that I copied off our website for you: LipoCeutical Glutathione original benzoate-free formula by Dr. Tim Guilford http://www.brainchildnutritionals.com/Lipo_GSHx.html Formerly known as " Wellness Products " LipoCeutical Glutathione A Liposomal Complex Patent Pending Glutathione (GSH) is a short string of amino acids called a peptide. It is composed of three amino acids: glycine, glutamine and cysteine. It is one of the main antioxidants in the cell and is considered a " key antioxidant " in the function of cells. According to research by Jill , the large majority of children on the autistic spectrum present with low glutathione in their blood plasma. The functions of glutathione include: .. Protects cells against free radicals .. Removes toxins such as heavy metals .. Enhances immune function .. Regulates protein and DNA growth Lipoceutical Glutathione is a liposomal glutathione supplement in liquid form. Glutathione is not well absorbed when taken by itself. It is a highly reactive substance. In LipoCeutical Glutathione, the glutathione is contained in tiny nanosize spheres called liposomes. Liposomes are tiny liquid bubbles made from essential phospholipids. Studies in humans have shown that the absorption of phospholipids is higher than 90%. Ingredients: Reduced l-glutathione, purified water, glycerin, hydroxylated lecithin, potassium sorbate (as preservative). Suggested Use: Best time to take is in the morning on an empty stomach. Recommended adult dose is one teaspoon per day.
Guest guest
Thank you Josie, I had read your original post and that is why I order it from Brainchild and not wellness. I do appreciate the post. Has anyone experienced a loss of appetite with it? Is it the smell that leave me not wanting to eat hrs after taking it? My son doesn't seem to loose his appetite but I do. It really smell so much like sulfur it doesn't feel safe to ingest. Is it just me? Guest guest
I just found this one in my inbox and re-read. Maybe you are one of the ones that has trouble with the sulfur overall. Needing it - and being able to use it w/o other pathways supported are 2 different things as we are finding, right? How do you do with other sulfury things? Take care, Josie Glutatathione > > > > Yesterday I posted a comparison of the old " Lipoceutical " glutathione and > the new " Essential " glutathione and asked why anyone would prefer the old > one to the new one. Guest guest
Hi Haleh, I also got incredibly ill from just one, and the smell just in the cupboard was overwhelming. I have major sulfer issues though (we're the No Fenol poster family, you know). I have not tried it again with NF but glutamine is going ok here.
