Guest guest
Is there somewhere I can look for Virastop dosing guidelines? I understand the basic idea of increasing every few days, but one question I have is when I start at one capsule, is it given one time, or do I split it into a couple of doses? Is there a certain number in a day I am working up to, or am I watching the reactions? If watching the reactions, how do I know when we are at max dose? I have my Virastop, I have OLE, but I'm terrified to start. Just want to make sure what I am doing before we get started. Thanks for any help! Guest guest
Kim has a good report on her site regarding the Virastop studies. You will find this helpful. http://www.enzymestuff.com/rtVirusStudyReport.htm > > Is there somewhere I can look for Virastop dosing guidelines? Guest guest
Kim, I'm using VS and I can tell you what I've done. My son weighs 34 pounds. I started with one a day for a couple days and then added in Lauricidin (I can't use OLE although I would love to). After a couple more days I went up to two a day. I increased slowly every couple days (either the VS or the Lauricidin) if I didn't see any reaction (rash, fatigue, fever). If I did see something, I would maintain that dose until the day after I stopped seeing that something. Then I would increase slowly again. As an idea of where we are, at day 34 he's up to 18 VS/day and 75 lauricidin pellets. I've started increasing his dose more quicky lately as he is showing no reactions in the last 10 days or so. I hope this might give you some idea. There is no set amount you need to get to. Some kids will never need 18/day. Some kids may need more. Just watch your child carefully. I would start with one capsule per day, and if you don't notice too much increased yeast or other negative behaviors, increase it to two capsules [1 cap 2x per day]. After a few days, evaluate whether you can increase again. Dana
Guest guest
Hi Anita, Sorry for all the questions, I just started VS yesterday. Why can't you use OLE? My son seems to be allergic to OLE. He tolerated it fine for months and then he started having some allergic reactions (congested nose, coughing/wheezing especially at night, etc...). I plan on using lauricidin too, how did you start, how any pellets, how many times a day? do you give it with VS? I also use garlic, fresh pressed. Do you use any other anti-viral besides lauricidin? My son is almost 5 yo and weighs 33 lbs, so pretty much like your son. At what day did you start seing some reactions (rash, fatigue, fever)? Thanks, > I'm using VS and I can tell you what I've done. Guest guest
Same thing happened here, only we became allergic to Virastop after several months. If this was my son, it would mean another virus coming out. Dana
Guest guest
Don't say sorry for the questions . Seems to me you've answered a few of mine :-) I *think* that using OLE is causing my son to become constipated. Smooth muscle is affected by OLE, thereby affecting the peristaltic action of the bowel (I may have spelled that all wrong). I don't give Lauricidin with the VS. VS needs to be on an empty stomach. L needs to be with meals. I started with just a couple pellets a couple times a day. We're now at 25 pellets three times a day. I also use Sambucol--not sure how much good it does but it is easy to dose. I'm trying to find another antiviral. I'm looking into Shegoi but I cannot find any objective information about it. It is supposed to be good for chicken pox virus, which I'm pretty sure would be implicated in my son's autism somehow. We've seen signs all along the way. Little rashes mostly. Today, though, he's been very lethargic and had a fever for a bit. What we're doing looks very much like the step progress that describes in her work. No dramatic responses like the first time we tried the viral protocol but I've been going very slowly and this time I had pumped him full of immune boosters first. Don't know if that makes a difference, but I had hoped it might. If you do get rashes, Dr. Jim at AM is trying to make sense of this sort of thing. If you take pictures you could send him that information. It would be nice if parents a year or two from now had a bit more guidance with viral protocols. Pictures just for yourself are good too. My son has had two fairly distinct kind of rashes, whatever that might mean. Good luck with your protocol. Keep us posted. Well, I have read of a few kids who are allergic to OLE, but it just seems strange that you indicated that your child did well on it for several months. Sometimes when a virus is coming out, my son will sneeze for a day or two, but he won't have a fever or rash. Other times he is sicker, sometimes with fever and sometimes without. Sometimes it is a rash. Dana

Guest guest
Hi , For kids, the Lauricidin is supposed to be taken with food. If my son has food, he gets enzymes. I've not read anywhere that enyzmes might be constraindicated. I certainly hope they aren't. What between the Houstons, the Virastop, and the Candex my son's diet is most enzymes. :-( I'm going to try to send you some of the pics asap.
