Guest guest
I took my son off of about 95% of his supplements a week ago. I have been fighting with the foods that he eats, trying to figure out what is still causing mushy poop. I decided to try the supplements. Like, I said, it's been about a week, and this morning, I got my first solid poop. I'll see what the next poop is like. If he remains solid, when should I start re- introducing the supplements, and how slow should I go, and what should I look for?? Thanks. Amber. Guest guest
Ok, he just pooped this afternoon, and we're back to mush again. I would like to ask everone at this time to not listen to me, because I have no idea what I am doing. Thank-you. Amber. Guest guest
Amber Are you keeping a food/supplement chart? Does he take enzymes? Same amount of enzymes each day? One of the things that causes flucuation in the stools at my house is the amount of No-fenol enzyme and AFP that I give. Either of these, if I give more than her regular amount will cause looser stools. Zyme Prime has the opposite effect. So that might be something to consider. The other things that causes loose stools around here are yeast/bacteria, too much magnesium, too much vitamin C. Guest guest
Amber, It's all so complicated and each person is different, but does he have enough probiotics in his system? Also, there is a long chain carbohydrate " FOS " that is a prebiotic (it feeds only the good bacteria). You may want to look into this. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Amber Eisler Sent: Tuesday, March 20, 2007 6:26 PM Subject: Re: supplement intolerance. Guest guest
One more thing to add: too much fish oil can cause loose stools, but if he is off off all suplements, it is more likely yeast/bacteria. Guest guest
That's what I think. I am leaning toward yeast flare-up, for a couple of reasons. He is still taking a couple of things that I've heard kick up yeast- MB12 shots, and zeolite. Plus, he woke up last night around 2:00am, was up all night giggling. This morning I gave him some GSE. I am going to get him some more caprilic acid oil, I've heard that's good for yeast. Opinion: getting the yeast down should help the mushy poop?? Thanks, everyone. Amber. PS- yes, he is off all fish oils. If it is mushy because of yeast, then reducing the yeast should help. Dana
Guest guest
His diet has been completely yeast and all forms of sugar free for about a year and a half. Amber. Guest guest
OK, his poop still seems mushy, but he for the past 5 nights, he really seems to be sleeping better- would that be linked to the removal of the supplements? How much longer do I keep these supplements out? it's been 9 days now. Amber. I would want to see what was his baseline with what you are giving currently. So continue what you are doing, see what happens. Dana
