Guest guest
My granddaughter recently began taking approximately 1/4 of a capsule with her meals (her meals are small). She also takes a whole v-gest by Enzymedica with each meal and has for about 4 months. She is gfcf and has been for about 3 1/2 years. Since taking the HNI AFP she has started burping (which she has never done prior to adding AFP). Anyboyd have any thoughts on why she's burping? Should we be concerned? thanks --------------------------------- Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min. Make PC-to-Phone Calls using Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
It might be part of the initial adjustments which happen when starting enzymes. Adding in the proteases would be expected to give some more pronounced shifting in the gut environment, including burping. Keep at the dose of AFP you are giving right now. Give it a few days to a week and see if the burping goes away. If it does, you are ready to increase the AFP to about 1/2 capsule. If it doesn't, please post again. . >>>Anybody have any thoughts on why she's burping? Should we be concerned?
Guest guest
We started w/ the 3 separate enzymes from Houstons ... then moved to the trienza which is a combination of all three...we now add a no phenol to the mix. We have had great success w/ our son. I will say that we had about a three week adjustment period to work through...but nothing horrible, mostly more stimming, but it did go away. I highly recommend the Houston products. AFP Peptizyde I talked to Houston today, & they suggested starting with AFP Peptizyde. Any of you have experience with this enzyme? If so, how did it work for you? Any Adjustment effects? Im a little confused bec my son doesnt eat a whole lot of protein(mostly carbs & processed foods), but they said it was for the GFCF aspect. Im really worried about this, bec I want to start with an easily tolerated, mild enzyme that wont through my sons system off too much in the begining. Thanks for all your help & support - you all are great!! Robin
Guest guest
We started them so long ago, but if I remember correctly we also started with a low dose of AFP before adding in Zyme and then No-Fenol. Who did you talk to at Houstons? If it was Cyndi I personally would go with her recommendation...if not her then run your situation by her. While we saw great progress with enzymes, we eventually found we had to elimiate corn, the went GFCF also. I am working with Cyndi now trying to increase his enzymes a bit to see if he can tolerate corn, then dairy. My daugther and I are also off wheat so I likely will not be adding that back anytime soon. > From: robinsrav <robinsrav@...> > Subject: AFP Peptizyde > > Date: Friday, January 23, 2009, 12:09 PM > I talked to Houston today, & they suggested starting > with AFP > Peptizyde.
