I hope all parents read this, I was looking into kirkman new product

line, and read about Thera Response, which at first saying to myself

finally it has all in one instead of giving our kids separate

vitamins, and minerals and all. while reading the description he

noted the the mineral factor lithium , as well known nutrient in

pharmaceuticals circles. I am a parent represenative in my county

serve in care review, so i deal with cases with serious emotional

behavorial and bipolar and schizoprenic, to depression, oppositional

defiant disorders and more. and what meds the kids are taking. and I

also looked into my PDD book, and in the back list all the medicines

and vitamins and more. Please this is a very dangerous drug it is not

a nutrient lithium is giving to Bipolar patients, schzoprehinic, and

manic depressives and just reading my emails what a coincidence

autsim today.com sent me some information. well i saw the article

about bipolar and lithium. is so toxic is causes major kidney

damage. Please talk to your doctor about this, but I am right, and

will also note of what it says about lithium , actions and more.

Eskalith, Lithane, Lithobid, Lithonate, Lithotabs

generic name: Lithium(lithium carbonate, lithium citrate)

Use: Bipolar disorder, mood regulation, manic psychosis, PMS, eating

disorders, thyroid problems, aggression.

Action, if known: regulates circuits within the brain, possibly by

having an effect on inositol monophosphatase. May also have unknown

antiviral action.

Side Effects: hand tremors, excessive thirst and urination, nausea

(this should pass) diarrhea, blurred vision. Any of these side

effects can be signs of toxity. Call your doctor if they persists.

Known interaction hazards: Potentiates neuroleptics, danger of

encephalopathic syndrome.

Tips: Before starting lithium, have kidney function, thryroid, blood

salts, and blood cell counts checked. Lithium users must have heart

function, kidney function, thyroid function, and therapeutic level

monitored regularly. Lithium can be toxic in doses that are not much

higher than the therapeutic dose. if you are allergic to tartrazine

dyes, ask your pharmacist if these are used in your lithium product.

if side effects are a problem, the slow release lithobid version may

be more tolerable. people who have diabetes or a family history of

diabetes should be very careful with lithium which may affect the

pancreas.

This information is out of my Pervasive Developmental Disorders book.

I am just very concern about this product and wanted all parents to

take warning and if you decide to buy this product please print out

information and descriptions and the supplement facts sheet. because

lithium is listed the last thing on the supplement facts as lithium

citrate. I would be very cautious and talk to your doctors about

this new product Thera Response from kirkman labs before use. may do

us more harm than we know. Please discuss this product and show what

is in it. I will show this to my son doctor. and see what he has to

say about lithium about being a nutrient. which I am positive it is

not.

As for me I am trying to find a product a vitamin/or mulitvitaminand

mineral supplement where he dont have to give so many separate

supplements to our kids its all in one. including iron. cannot find

one thru kirkman labs that has iron. my son has low iron. and he

needs a low dosage iron. i don't want a separate vitamin and then

have to give iron supplement along with it. anyone can help me out

with this I would appreciate it.he is taking enzymes from houston but

is not on supplements or mangnesium or manganese nor is he taking any

vitamin B supplements.

and where do you buy them. other than kirkman labs, twinlabs,

brainchildnutritionals. I want to say thankyou to all who has replied

to me about liking and disliking chewables and wont chew them anymore

etc. thanks for your advice he has been on them 1 1/2 months.

and is there any parent who's child who has moderate functioning

autism or severe. and non-verbal and is taking houston enzymes and

what are there results they have seen in their child and how long

have they been on them.

Thank you for this post. Lithium is an old generation of drug for bipolar type

1 disorder and it is HIGHLY toxic. Most bipolar patients are now given newer

drugs because of lithium toxicity level which needs to be monitored monthly by

blood tests. It also can induce psychosis in patients who don't respond well

to this drug. Lithium is also used in rechargeable batteries.

This is too hard to understand why Kirkman uses a number of toxins in their

products.

Are the ingredients for Thera Response posted online?
