Guest guest
Can anyone recommend the dosage of zinc that I should start out with for my daughter? She is 6 years old and weighs around 45 pounds. The zinc that I have is the e-lyte brand which comes in a liquid. Seven drops is equivalent to 7.8 mg of zinc sulphate. Thanks for your input. Guest guest
Ginger, Has she had her zinc levels tested? She's probably low (many ASD kids are), but it's hard to know how much zinc she needs w/o knowing her baseline. Having said that, at the recent ville Mini-DAN!, I believe the recommended starting dose for zinc was around 20mg, with a max of approximately 1mg per pound of weight (in your case ~45mg). The doc may order a higher dose based on lab work, of course. HIH, > > Can anyone recommend the dosage of zinc that I should start out with for my > daughter?
