Guest guest
You can add me to the list of former vegetarian exercise fanatics. I was a vegetarian for 15 years, although I did eat eggs and dairy. But for 18 months I went on a strict raw food diet, mostly fruit and some vegetables. I've always tended to gain weight very easily and have been fat for most of my life, except for brief periods of time when I had been dieting and/or exercising heavily, or later on resorting to drugs to lose weight. I guess the end result for me is that I am now a very fatigued, fat person with large strong muscles, heavy bones, and grace, coordination and reflexes that I never get to use anymore. On the other hand, sometimes I think the reason my illness seems to have come on so gradually might be because I was such a " Health Food Freak " for so many years. I took all kinds of vitamins and supplements and ate a wide variety of nutritious foods. I started taking a whey supplement from the local health food store recently and it mostly makes me sleepy. I love the taste of it though, I realize that whey is probably the reason that I've always loved products like Metabolol and other " shake " style protein supplements. I never felt satisfied with the recommended serving size and I tend to lick everything that I mix it in clean, just like those pets folks have been giving Immunopro to! (BTW, Ken and Laurie, how is your bed slug/puppy doing?) I ordered some Immunopro from needs4u last week, but its not here yet. Does anyone know how long Standard shipping from them should take? Its been just over a week now. Abra >He also said something interesting that might pertain to a lot(some) of us. >He >said that they are finding that many vegetarians have CFS. Guest guest
Getting himself very muddy in the fields, having a real active time chasing the other dogs around (in the past, the longest time was about 90 seconds.... now he go at it for 15-20 minutes...) Interesting, before the whey he tended to hiberate in the bedroom... now he is out on grass in the sun listening to the kids or chasing the birds.... By the way, there is no question that he is 100% PWC -- his pedigree goes back 30 generations.... PWC happens to stand for Pembroke Welsh Corgi ... so he is a PWC PWC (or is it PWC-squared?) ===> Pembroke Welsh Corgi Pet With Chronic Fatigue :-) ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: " Abra Eubanks " <abraeubanks@...> (BTW, Ken <BR> >and Laurie, how is your bed slug/puppy doing

Guest guest
The same was here! I used to be a vegetarian many years, than became a vegan (raw food) and after 10 months I got CFS. I was very cautious about adding B12, chlorela (aminoacids) and also used to dance and later used to go to a fitness centre three times a week. I have never been fat my weight was pretty stabil, around 53 kg. I think these days one cannot only eat " healthy food " - it is not enough. It is vital to add good quality supplements to one's diet, especially when living in a badly polluted environment like me. Guest guest
How do you give it to him? I've got a cat who is also a slug. Guest guest
There is a veterinarian on one of the other lists, and someone asked her if she had observed CFS in her " clients. " She replied that most of her clients are cats, and it is imposssible to tell whether they have CFS, because all cats do is lay around most of the time! LOL! Rich > How do you give it to him? Guest guest
Hi there, My dd is 3.5 yrs old (ASD)and her DAN doctor has recommended she take one tablet of Immupro everyday. We tried it the other day, in the middle of the day and she fell right asleep. I read the bottle again and it does say that it causes drowsiness so take before bed, which I make sure to do now. Each time I give it to her, she falls asleep. I checked the ingredients and I see Melatonin in there, but it doesn't list how much. Seems like too much if it knocks her out, doesn't it? I'm uncomfortable giving her something that makes her fall asleep. I'm wondering why a doctor would prescribe that dosage for someone her age. Does anyone else have experience with this product? We see her doctor on Thursday, until then I will try cutting the tablets in half. Thanks!
