Which enzyme should I buy?

I have never been a big enzyme person, but I think it's high time I

got better at this for my two ASD toddlers. I just finished up my

first two bottles of Kirkman's DPP-IV (sound right?) and I posted a

question to this group last month about not seeing any noticeable

differences. Someone mentioned that I ought to give Houston's a try

as those enzymes are far more effective.

My sons get SOOOOO many supplements right now. If I were only to

purchase ONE enzyme from Houston's to give to them, which one would be

the best?

Background info: both are GF/CF/SF, chelating, using LDN and getting

mb12 shots in addition to supplements.

Buy the one that are real safe for kids. When you buy them, you need also to

know that their effectiveness is real. Check their FDA (Food and Drug

Administration) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations) approval.

Because there are many products that claimed best but are not approved by those

agencies mentioned above. Any supplements you give to your child should be

proven safe. Your child's safety is in your hand. You make the choice.

My opinion FWIW is that all three are needed, sorry! I use them since I also

didn't see anything with the Kirkman enzymes and LOVE the houstons. All three

have their place and I can't pick my favorite.

I can't do dairy at all and I tried using just ZP and NF and it still wasn't

enough. I had to take all three to be able to digest the dairy.

I give all three to all three of my kids and take them myself. Expensive yes,

but until I get all of our systems working the way they should, worth every

penny.

Depends on what they eat, and what they don't tolerate

Peptizyde: gluten/casein/soy, helps eliminate viruses

AFP Peptizyde: same as above, for kids who don't tolerate

papain/bromelain

No-Fenol: fruits and other high phenol foods, helps with artificials

for some kids, also helps eliminate yeast by digesting the yeast cell wall

Zyme Prime: proteins, carbs, starches, fats, general digestion of

most foods

Janice,

I know a number of people have recommended all three enzymes and I

would agree. I just wanted to add that of all the supps I give, and

there are plenty, especially for a kid not yet three, the enzymes

have been the simplest. You don't require very much (as compared to

let's say, Vitamin C!) and they hardly taste if you get the AFP

Peptizyde. I know the money can be tight, but compared to many of

the supps I give, the enzymes are pretty economical.

If I had a do-over in terms of biomedical, the enzymes would be the

first thing I would do instead of the 21st.

It does seem to depend. I have two different ASD girls. One child

(the one more affected with ASD and seizures) does remarkably better

on Houstons peptizyde. It started to kick in after a couple of

weeks or slightly less. The zyme prime didn't seem to have any

apparent effects (which doesn't mean they weren't doing anything).

No-Fenol had a strong effect on my oldest daughter and myself, but

didn't have noticeable effects on my youngest. I still give it to

her though.

I like the peptizyde for myself as well. It helps make things more

clear for me. It enhanced my night vision, opened up my nasal

passages (never been a sinus allergy person either so that was

surprising). To describe how I feel taking them is to liken it to

turning a camera lens slowly into focus. I didn't even have an

awareness that I was " out of focus " until I had enzymes. It's like

a new world opened up for me. It didn't really kick in until after

a week and half of consistent use for me. I know after having tried

this for myself, how much more of an effect it has on my daughter.

Her speech improves and she is able to talk a little less like a

caveman and use more expressive language.

I think hands down peptizyde is the best one. If you were going to

try one, (we use AFP Pep) then Peptizyde is the one I think makes

the biggest impact (for my family).

I also regret not trying enzymes sooner. No other supps I tried had

anything close to the effect that enzymes did. I dropped all other

supps except for one. And I use the enzymes of course.
