Guest guest
Military docs are often the easiest to get referrals from. Insurance company execs are not breathing down their backs as money isn't a concern. True with military docs it is totally a craps shoot whether they are any good but if you go in there with a list of reasons why you need the referral. When I figured out that my son was ASD I went in with such a list, a really really long list, and it didn't take long to get the referral. Guess he didn't want me to be there reading to him all day! Other good thing would be to have knowledge of the tests a gastro might run and why. Try to go in with lots of information. Don't know if this is helpful or not. I just have played the military game sooo many times. There has to be a way to get that referral. Guest guest
I just realized I started a sentence with one thought and got sidetracked and finished with another thought...sorry! What I was trying to say is often the specialists are regular civilian doctors and you can also request a certain doctor from Tricare. Doesn't mean you will get it but you just might. Would be good to look around, get referrals and see who takes Tricare. With this insurance it can be either a great doc or a pitiful one, do some research first. Last thing you want is a pitiful doctor doing a scope on a little person's bowels... Again sorry for the loss in train of thought! lvchefmel <lvchefmel@...> wrote: Military docs are often the easiest to get referrals from.
