Rotating anti-fungals can sometimes CAUSE resistance, so watch out for

that. You might be left with yeast that is resistant to everything.

Not usually, because it is breaking down the yeast cell wall.

Geesh - does the battle with yeast ever end??? So what do you, from

your experience, recommend? Do you do an antifungal for a month or

two then switch. Or do you base it on response? Perhaps, one

person's yeast responds well to OOO or another to GSE and use that

till it seems ineffective than switch? Or is Candex just superior

since it digests the cell wall and you don't have to worry about

resistance?? Thanks! Jen

FYI, my son had absolutely horrible stomach aches with Candex, and I'm

talking about 1/10th of a capsule. We had to stop. I've heard of a few other

assorted kids having this problem. Don't think it's the typical problem, but

I've

never given my son anything else that caused such pain.

Once the underlying cause is addressed, then yes it ends. For my son,

it required ALA chelation and anti-virals.

I found that No-Fenol or Candidase, along with GSE, was VERY effective

in eliminating an active yeast issue. Then No-Fenol or Candidase by

itself, and probiotics, as maintenance for a while. After my son's

gut was healed, I could not give any of these things or it would cause

problems.

I'm curious to know what kinds of problems?? Not that I think my

daughters gut is healed or anything, not by a long shot. However, she

used to have normal stools before we started enzymes, yeast enzymes,

gse, chelation, etc.. Now I wonder if I will ever see a normal looking

stool again. It seems the more NF, Candidase, GSE I give her the

worse (loose, mushy) her stools are looking. Doesn't make much sense

to me. I have even gone several days without giving any GSE or just a

drop or two (still using the NF and Candidase) to see if it made a

difference and it did not change the stools much at all. It did

cause the behavioral yeast symptoms to return, tho.

I'm almost to the point of thinking that we may have a bacterial issue

on our hands now, but as much OLE/VS and probiotics I am dumping into

her it just doesn't seem possible. Do you have any thoughts on

this?

Dana - I have a few questions based on your response. How did you

find out your son's underlying cause? I know many people's kiddos

have been mercury poisoned, but in my daughter's case I am often

confused. I know that she was born with her autism. I remember

joking about her " quirkiness " from the time she was about 6 weeks,

maybe younger. Never would have thought autism, she just seemed a

little different (gaze pattern, activity level, sensory, etc). I

know because of her autism she has acquired toxins from the vaccines

but I don't think this was her cause. She has gut, immune,

inflammation issues, etc. I think she has it all! And a very leaky

gut! I suppose though the leaky gut is a result of the yeast and

bacteria? I am thinking out loud... Also, what were the problems

that occured when your son's gut healed? I keep getting to a point

when I am addressing yeast and her gut that she seems to develop

urinary tract discomfort. We have been seeing progress in

awareness, interaction, language, etc but behaviors seem to key up

(frustration, biting, unsettled, discomfort but not as intense as

die-off) I can't figure out what it is. Yeast, bacteria or

acidity? Any input appreciated! Thanks! Jen

Can someone tell me how to tell if my child has a leaky gut? Is there a test or

? He seems to have yeast issues from all of the descriptions I have read. I

have given him GSE and acidopholis.

Right now, giving probiotics, or enzymes which digest yeast, will

cause my son to have bacteria-related behaviors.

First drop the GSE. Once yeast is gone, it tends to cause bad

bacteria, which tends to cause mushy loose bms.

Sometimes bacteria behaviors are really close to yeast behaviors.

Drop the VS, OLE, and GSE, see if that helps. VS also helps address

bacteria issues. It sounds like your child is where mine was a few

months ago. Everything I was giving was sending his gut all over the

place.

Are you still seeing viral " die off " symptoms? How long have you been

giving OLE/VS? Are there any negative issues besides the bms?

Chelation caused massive yeast overgrowth, and at about round 50 the

yeast issue was gone.

Then when I started anti-virals, the yeast was REALLY NASTY, but at

the end of anti-virals, no more yeast, and in fact if I give anything

to " help control yeast " , it causes problems instead of improvements.

I know many people's kiddos

> have been mercury poisoned, but in my daughter's case I am often

My son has a Kanner dx, he was " autistic from birth " . However, he is

now recovered with a LOT of biomedical interventions.

My son had all these issues, and more. Chelation, anti-virals,

several supplements, all were required to recover him. You can read

his story here, if you want

>>I am thinking out loud... Also, what were the problems

Healing his gut was a long process [required chelation and several

supplements] but did not address other issues he had.

Thank you Dana - I knew that you would have some words of wisdom on this.

She doesn't have any oppositional behaviors, but I have noticed that

recently she was inconsistent about answering my questions and would

sometimes just repeat my question back to me. Her appetite has dwindled

quite a bit over the last month or so. Eye contact is still pretty good,

although maybe not as good as usual. This is what got me thinking about

the bacteria (along with the stool nightmare). She has also started blowing

bubbles out of her mouth at times which usually begins after the OLE/VS/GSE

dose. I even wondered if I was maybe giving too much probiotic and causing

too much good bacteria.

All this has really got me thinking. She has been on the OLE app. 5

months. We added the VS almost 2 months ago. We worked up to 18 caps per

day and are now down to 6 caps per day. We saw good results with the OLE,

but then didn't see further good results with adding VS. After adding VS I

was seeing lots of what I *thought* was yeast symptoms (crying, giggling,

jumping off furniture, etc.) so of course I started increasing Candidase

and GSE. She never got sick from the VS. On some days I would notice

black peppery " die off " looking stools. Recently I noticed these when I did

NOT give any GSE. I always felt that the OLE helped her, at least in the

beginning, but that the VS didn't.

Sooooo, maybe I have been dealing with bacteria all along and not viruses

(okay, it doesn't hurt to dream, right?) This would perhaps explain why

she does so much better on chelation round recently since it would be

creating yeast to help balance out the bacteria??? I don't know, does that

make any sense at all? Also, I noticed recently that she seems

uncomfortable after I give her a probiotic.

I have been very afraid to discontinue the OLE/VS for fear of some sort of

viral regression nightmare, but this morning after a night of very little

sleep, I was so frustrated with it all I only gave her HNI enzymes, then a

Culturelle a little later (we did not chelate this weekend). So far she

is having a pretty decent day! Maybe I'll just do that for a few days and

see what happens! If it doesn't go well, I'll try adding back just the OLE

for a bit. Again thanks for your always valuable insights.

Sometimes when my son was having a bad bacteria bout, I would start a

round of chelation and it would help eliminate the bacteria.

To those of you who have been following this post I wanted to report

that dropping the VS/Candidase and GSE has stopped the loose stools

altogether. I kept the OLE since she just seems to do better on it

than off. For the last 2 days I only gave HNI enzymes/OLE and small

amounts of probiotic. (no other supplements) She has done really

well so this is a good time to get back to a base line and slowly

reintroduce other things to determine what she still needs. Now

since she hasn't pooped in 2 days I guess I will start back with a

little magnesium.

I don't really think that she has a major bacterial problem, but I am

convinced that in my effort to keep the yeast away I was overdoing it

a little on the yeast enzymes, etc.. and perhaps tipping the scales

the other direction a little bit. This was very confusing since the

symptoms appeared to be the same either way. (thanks to Dana for

pointing this out to me.) The last 2 days she has had none of those

symptoms. I've learned now that it is important to keep the gut

balanced, and not necessarily totally yeast free. This will be my

new challenge now as we head into another round of chelation

tomorrow. I hope this info is maybe helpful to someone else.

I read in the compendium that a good way of determining leaky gut is how fast

melatonin works after you take it. I remember giving K melatonin and 5 min.

later, she would be out but, now it takes a good 20-25 min. So, we know that her

belly is healing. I don't believe it is a tolerance issue. Jenn & K
