Hi,

The person who works with the DAN doctor we have seen recommended

Inositol for our son to help ease his anxiety. I've given it to him

and he seems kind of hyper (2 caps in the AM). I thought it should

calm him! He's also taking Intrinsi B12/Folate by Metagenics 1x a

day. Could this be too much? And then we started Peptizide and HN

Zyme Prime but he had been taking the Kirkman enzyme: EnZym-Complete

DPP-IV before this and so i thought there would be much of an

adjustment to it.

Thanks for any feedback!

I believe I've read that inositol is not recommended for

overmethylators. That may possibly be the problem there.

Hello, Mindy

I was wondering how you know if your child has overmethylators. I also used

DMG and Inositol and it looked like my son became more hyper on them.

Thank you in advance for reply, Dilya

We recently started inositol as well, and I have thought something was

making our son hyper, but I never suspected that. The nutritionist at

our DAN! Dr.'s office recommended this for a calming effect. He

actually recommended a really high dose, something like 4x the amount

recommended on the label, so I've only been giving 1/2 the dosage he

suggested. I'll be interested to hear what other's comments are on

this. Who is you DAN! Dr.?

Inositol can be very problematic for some people. It caused

aggression in my daughter.

Hi Kim,

We see Dr. Megson in Richmond, Va. And the inositol was suggested

for a calming effect as well. We were told we could go up to 4xs a

day, so we started with 1 in the am and then 1 at night. He seemed

okay with that ~ a little hyper, but then he is typically a low

energy kid, so it didn't seem like a bad thing. Then i gave him 2

at dinner and whoa, he was so wound that it took him a long time to

settle to go to bed. Now, we have major sleep issues but they are

in the middle of the night, so when we had this happen, i kinda

freaked. So that's why i'm trying to figure out if this will help

or hurt to give to him. Definitely not giving him any at dinner

anymore. Of course this is after we spent $20 on the bottle to try

~ arrgggh!
