Guest guest
tx for the info on GABA. my son has gut issues (out to kazoo!). talk about the gut/brain connection (good book, b-t-w). my son's DAN doc wants to try actos on my son at a later time. apparently, actos helps to decrease some effects of neurological inflammation which glutamate triggers. based on the results of my son's recent neurotransmitter test, we probably should start actos sooner rather than later. we also may do a trial of namenda (a glutamate receptor antagonist. helps block excess glutamate). vicki

Guest guest
My son takes a microdose (2.5 mg) daily. It is awesome stuff; fixed his word retrieval issue. Have you tried giving tinier doses of things? Mine does not process time release nor build-up type meds properly- the small doses work much better for him. -GA Re: GABA/APRAXIA/SPEECH > tx for the info on GABA. my son has gut issues (out to kazoo!). talk > about > the gut/brain connection (good book, b-t-w). > > my son's DAN doc wants to try actos on my son at a later time. > apparently, > actos helps to decrease some effects of neurological inflammation which > glutamate triggers. based on the results of my son's recent > neurotransmitter test, > we probably should start actos sooner rather than later. > > we also may do a trial of namenda (a glutamate receptor antagonist. helps > block excess glutamate). > > vicki > > >
