I will be going for my first visit to a Neurosurgeon on Wednesday as per the

diagnosis and referral of my pediatrician. Can you tell me what to expect. I

am bringing the set of skull xrays with me. I am so nervous that he will look

at the xrays, say that it is not surgically corrective and just send me on my

way.

Does a Neurosurgeon treat non-surgical cases of plagiocephaly or will he

refer me to someone else?

Any advise on what to ask? I don't know anything about this other than I

don't want it to get worse and I want his eyes to straighten out.

Is anybody in this group from Long Island? If so, who do you use?

thanks - it is actually only about 1 1/2 hours away. Good luck with your

appointment. Have you already had skull xrays and a catscan? I had xrays but

no ct. This Dr. was recommended through North Shore University Hospital. I

just hope that he will take me seriously even if my baby is not a surgical

candidate.

Well if he doesn't, let me know about yours because it's not that far.

How old is your baby and what kind of plagio characteristics does your baby

have?

boy, girl?

Hi! I live in Connecticut, and have our first appointment on Friday

with a plastic surgeon/neurosurgeon at Yale New Haven Hospital. I

know that's probably far for you, but he is supposed to be top in his

field, here, anyway. His name was posted on the Cranial Technologies

website under the " clinics " section. You can find listings of Cranial

Tech facilities in there, as well. New Jersey was listed, but I don't

recall any in New York, but you should double check.
