Guest guest
Anita, Thanks for your thoughts. I was going on something that Dr. Jmc has said, that most kids start out hyperimmune or th2 and shift to hypoimmune or th1. I never thought or heard of shifting back and forth, but rather one or the other being dominant. Thanks for the ideas. : Re: Nell/was: thoughts on gut healing/yeast? > , > > I hardly understand any of this, but I don't think it is always as > simple as not getting colds, etc. My limited understanding is > this. Guest guest
I've actually not read very much of what Dr. JM has said about this, which is a bit stupid on my part. Most of my sporadic reading, and it isn't much, has been elsewhere. It just doesn't make sense to me that you could only have one type of response. That is, that the shift would be a TOTAL one. Of course, it could be that I'm completely wrong about this and I'm drawing very much the wrong conclusions. I wonder if would have some knowledge of this. Or if Andy would weigh in at AM. Guest guest
I agree, not total, more of a balance or weighted toward one side or the other, th1 or th2. I see both sides as fluid, but not constantly shifting which side is dominant. Both sides are in play to constantly monitor the correct balance to take care of the yeast, bacteria and viruses. But I believe you are dominantly one side or the other. The only analogy I can think of is the hair test. Where you keep placing the hair on the test strip until it tips over, I know not a great analogy, but health is achieved when you have the correct balance, with the dominance toward th1. Again, one of the many times I wish I had paid attention in a class where someone was trying to teach this :-) > I've actually not read very much of what Dr. JM has said about this, > which is a bit stupid on my part.
