Guest guest
Hello All, I am so happy that I had to share this. i has been in her DOC Band for a little over a month now. We have seen some pretty great improvement, but her eyes were still a large area of concern for me. Because i is bi-racial, the difference in her eyes was VERY apparent. It actually looked as though one eye was Caucasian and one eye was oriental...a very big difference. Well I was just playing with i while her DOC Band is drying from it's cleaning and I realized for the first time that her eyes are just about even. They look almost the same!! Both eyelids are equal and this was the thing that was causing the difference, not to mention the creases coming down from the corner of her eyes are also just about even. There is still a little difference in the size of the eyes, but I am SOOOO Happy that they look a like now! I was told that the eyes might never really be even in appearance so I already figured when she was old enough to make a decision we would probably have to have her eyes surgically repaired. So for me this is something to just SING about!!!! I can't tell you folks how happy I am that we made the decision to go with the band....plus we probably only have 2 more months to go and we were also told that we would not need a second band. Granted the largest flat spot on the back of the head may never totally fill in, but if we continue to see the correction with the facial asymmetry I will be extremely happy. Sincerely, Jaya Dong Mom to i (6/19/00)
