Guest guest
I am a newbie at this so excuse the questions. I have a 3 yr old 42 pd dd who I recently started biomed tx's. I did have an appt with DAN doctor but had to reschedule due to finances. He is currently on SNT with P5P and TMG with b12 and fol acid. I am going to start giving him Culturelle as probiotic and give it a trial. I have suspected yeast issues due to behavior such as night waking and musty smell to urine. Does anyone have a good yeast protocol? I figure I will need to have a maintenance yeast fighter as well since he does so well with SNT. I don't think I can get GSE into him since of the strong taste and he has food aversions. Does anyone have any luck with Threelac or Candex? I could use GSE if it's worth it but I think I would still need a maintenance yeast fighter as previously mentioned above. Appreciate any response. Yes, because SNT tends to increase yeast. Dana
Guest guest
You can go ahead and start the Candidase or Candex. In fact, it is better to start them one at a time rather than all at once. I would start with one Candidase or Candex, then work up from there. The amount you will need really just depends on how bad the yeast is. Just FYI, if you need to take Candidase ongoing, I have found that online sources like Iherb have better prices than the HFS. After you get going on those, then add in some GSE along with the yeast enzymes for a stronger effect. GSE, I think, works pretty good for all types of yeast but someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that. OLE might cause your son more yeast if he has viral issues. A good starting dose for GSE is 1-2 drops, then you can work up from there if needed. We put ours in juice, but others put the GSE drops into a capsule and have them take it like that. Would a good intro be to take the Candidase & Candex this weekend then add in the 3rd step Monday? (I could drive over to the store after work) I just don't want to waste the Candidase or Candex as it is so very expensive (3 people taking it) So - the question is: Take the Candidase and Candex this weekend in a low dose adding in the GSE on Monday evening - OR - just hold off on everything until I get the 3rd step and start it all at the same time? > > I might add that none of us have had any problems with the enzymes - we read both books a couple months after starting enzymes - though we read the entire web site several times first. We started with one Peptizyde every time he ate meat or nuts, one no-fenol every time he ate an apple or carrots & broccoli (only fruits and veggies he will eat), and one HN-Zyme prime with other items when he was allowed to eat them. Due to Devin's suggestion we now give HN-Zyme Prime along with the Peptizyde at every meal to try to get him to eat more variety. Our son is a grazer and eats single foods all day long - for ex he will eat an apple; then later he may eat just meat; then later, if we ask him to, he will eat the carrots and broccoli, then more meat or apple etc. > > > Second Question: suggests to take three Candidase and one Candex - is that all 4 caps three times a day ? - the bottle suggests 2 caps 3 times a day - so how do I dose this? If it is 3 Candidase three times a day I'll need more Candidase - want to know now as the HFS has it on sale 20% off right now. > > > Next question - do most people start with the GSE to try first? I read Dana's link about yeast - but she says the GSE worked for one type of yeast but not another. And it will have to be a capsule to get it in him so any suggestion to dosage? > He is - Age: almost 13. Guest guest
I'll check into Iherb - though my HFS had it cheaper due to the sale than Vitacost. Which is just for this month - so I'll need another source for the enzymedica brand in the future. I'm sticking with the HNI for their enzymes but have added in Enzymedica's Lypo to be taken with his fish oils and fat soluble vitamins plus when he drinks milk. So does the GSE not come in a capsule? He will not take a liquid at all. Is there a preferred brand by the experienced people on this list? Thank you everyone for your help - W. However, if the Candidase is on sale right now, you might want to buy more. > Next question - do most people start with the GSE to try first? I start with GSE only if I know the yeast is really bad. Otherwise I start with Candidase. >>I read Dana's link about yeast - but she says the GSE worked for one type of yeast but not another. In my experience, GSE works on all yeast, but if you give it when the yeast is gone, it can cause bad bacteria problems. >>And it will have to be a capsule to get it in him so any suggestion to dosage? > He is - Age: almost 13. Height: 5' 6 " , Weight: 110 You can start with one drop of GSE, put it in an empty capsule if you want. You can also purchase capsules and tablets, altho those are in much higher doses. I would not start with an entire capsule or tablet at first, I would start at a lower dose, unless you *know* the yeast is bad. Dana
