Guest guest
Hi Tammy & , Will has been going to Craniosacral therapy 3 times a week, but only for the last month. So I don't really have alot of results to share with you yet. I don't do any of it, the pt does it all. Half the time I don't even know what's shes doing, but at this stage I'll try anything. His torticollis has gotten alot better with it. How long has your little one been it the Starband and how much longer do you think he has to stay in it? The CT technician told me Will would be in his DOC band for probably 6-7 months. She told me at the last visit that she sees some improvement already but I try not to be too optimistic. Sounds really negative but I don't want to be disappointed... I wish you the best of luck and let me know how is progressing. Kim

Not sure how much longer. I think we could get two more months out of it. Mentioned it today at our adjustment, he didn't want to say. I think we saw the craniosacral therapy helping the tort more so than head shape. His entire tort side was tight. Was this your experience too? Anyway, we can get some shifting with cs therapy but not enough to make this huge progress in head shape. After 4 months of cs we went with the STAR Band. She has been, I think, impressed with how the back has popped out. We did do the DOC Band in June and July and out grew that in 7 1/2 weeks and got some rounding in back. Not all the correction we really needed. Anyway, I'm hoping for more! Does you DOC Band tech have you compare the head mold to current head? I think that is so helpful. Also fun to put the band on the original head mold to. You can see the progress made. If not doing this, request. Was your cs person not happy about you banding thinking they could correct everything? Mine was a little but understood completely! So hard to make decisions. Didn't help either that my parents thought it was terrible to put him through that again. They were supportive the first time but not the second time. I think they thought I was expecting too much. Anyway, I guess I couldn't sleep at night not trying one more band. I'm one of the few to have insurance pay 100%. I didn't have any problems with coverage I think because of all I went through and was born with a funky shaped head. Anyway, good night!
