Guest guest
Lauricidin and Monolaurin are good if your child knows how to swallow. They tasted horrible otherwise. Virastop is used widely here with reports of great result. We use Chisolm Lab's transfer factor called Immune Factor #8, which is receptor specific, meaning you need to know the type of virus you are treating to choose from their products. Others here report very good result using 4-Life transfer factor which is non-receptor specific and helpful against many viruses and the enhancement of overall Immune system. Good product are quite numerous including Olive Leaf Extract (too tarrible tasting for my child). Guest guest
How can you tell which virus you may have? Is there a specific test from a special lab? Guest guest
We did Premire Autism Panel of Immunosciences lab. Very expensive ($800+) but worth it. You may want google and find their website to see if they have just a viral panel. Best, Haleh --- jenn kjhi <help4kali@...> wrote: > How can you tell which virus you may have? Guest guest
The reason I ask if you need a specialty lab is because we do not have a DAN! doc and cannot afford one. We don't even have a doc that is on board with K's diet or any other alternative treatments and not even some typical treatments. So, we do not have anyone that can order anything by script for us. We have been very diligent in praying for K and the little support we do have, we are treasuring! And, even those that support us, don't really understand. We are in a really bad area for help. We just got to see a ped. GI in Boston 3 months ago which is a 5 hr. drive away. That's as good as it gets for us I guess. I will have to keep plugging along here to learn more and K will recovered. She has gotten about 65-70% better in the last 10 months. Thanks for your help and for letting me know that we are not alone here. Guest guest
Jenn, If you look in the files section, there is a file on Viruses that lists some common antivirals and immune boosters. This might be of help to you. Anita > > Instead of battling just the yeast now we are going to have to add an antiviral I believe. Kali had such a bad yeast problem that we didn't know she had a viral problem too and she has had a fever from 101*-104* for the last week ending up with a low grade fever now and cold sores completely covering both lips. I will try to use some GSE today to put on them but, what should I use for antiviral? We already use garlic but, I see that's not enough. I have thinking about getting some of the lauridicin. Has anyone else had this happen to them and what have you used for it? I have heard GSE also can be contaminated and I really don't want to use it internally. Guest guest
Jenn, Josie has posted Direct Lab's website and you can google it and call them up to see if they have a viral test or not. You will not need dr requsition to do this with them. However, if you do not have a doctor on board, you can always assume that your kid has viral issues particularly if obsessive tendencies is present and treat with a broad base Transfer Factor or better yet, so many people here in this group do virastop with great result. It doesn't matter which virus is present as long as you can zap them all with virastop. You do have support here and I am so please to hear about K having improved in the past 10 months so well. Guest guest
That sounds like a herpes virus outbreak of some kind. You could ask your doctor for prescription antivirals. They are not all that bad. (Especially not compared to GSE which nearly did me in the first time I tried it...and the last.) Peace, Kathy E. Guest guest
Transfer Factor here: http://www.4-life.com It is a supplement. Virastop is an enzyme that is effective in destroying viruses. I have not used either one but have read numerous great reorts and wow posts on Vira stop and a number of great post on 4-life Tranfer factor. If you do a post on each one with each of the names in thesubject line, you will get responses from those who have used them. There are not that many here using prescription drugs and when they do, it is a short time solution. Biomediacl communities mostly do supplements. Guest guest
If it really is herpes, there's an all-natural treatment for herpes now. It's called dumontiaceae. It's a form of red marine algae. They sell it in health food stores. It's supposed to work very well for herpes and possibly cure other systemic viruses as well. -- > > > Instead of battling just the yeast now we are going to have to add > > an antiviral I believe. Guest guest
>>for the last week ending up with a low grade fever now and cold sores completely covering both lips. For my #1, cold sores are eliminated with selenium, lysine, and B vitamins. I use Virastop enzyme, olive leaf extract, and Lauricidin as anti-virals.
