Guest guest
Hello, everyone. Our 5 day supplement/med break proved successful, 's diarrhea is gone. His DAN dr did finally call me last Wed. nite and agreed to giving the poor kid a break. In the meantime, I read in my " Autism: Effective Biomedical Treatments " book (section two, p. 14) about how the combination of vancomycin and gentamicin will cause loose BMs with no smell. So that was the problem, although I'm still at a loss for the blood in the stool (I'm sure Motrin and oranges didn't help!). DAN dr. wants back on Nystatin ASAP. I asked about other products that would do the same thing, but she is not too keen on taking the herbal route for this (that almost seems funny... that's what I get for having an MD for a DAN doc, I guess, hahaha). So we started up the probiotics last night and I plan to stay on those only for five days and then re-introduce Nystatin. I'm at a loss as to what to start after the Nystatin. Any recommendations? Probably the MB12 shots or HN-Zyme Prime. I can tell you the one thing I've learned in all this: Take it slow, one thing at a time! Funny how that is preached over and over again, but can still be overlooked. I want to thank everyone here for all the info and support you've given me. started special ed preschool thru the school district yesterday and I can finally start thinking straight. :-) Take care, and
Guest guest
I apologize. I'm short of sleep. That should say: My youngest son became a less angry, raging individual and his social skills improved dramatically when WE addressed mold issues in the home that we had NOT known we had. > > My youngest son became a less angry, raging individual and his social skills improved dramatically when addressed mold issues in the home that we had known we had. I had strep die off for many months. Strep likes to settle in the heart and the die off tends to come out of the heart and leave one feeling weak, where standing (or even sitting up) can be difficult or impossible for short periods of time (during the worst of it). All three of those are also anti-virals. > > Thanks for that, interestingly both my sons have been diagnosed with heart mumrmurs and despite scans and tests at The Brompton Hospital [London] they could find no reason why they had the murmurs, oldest is already diagnosed with OCD, they wont actually diagnose youngest as they say he is too severe to say he has OCD although his life has become driven by compulsions that he cannot bear, wonder if there could be a connection to Strep from back when they were much younger. I have worked hard on my heart health. Another thing I did to support heart health was taking Co-q-10 in the morning. I was on a fairly high dose for a long time. My heart is better these days. Heart health may also impact the bad moods. I can be pretty awful when toxic stuff is coming out of my heart. My adult sons kind of blow me off at such times and tell me bluntly that my mood will improve when this latest issue passes and that I am so crabby because of what is going on with my health. It often irritates me when they do that but it generally proves to be true. Guest guest
thanks for posting this this may explain some of my daughters current behavior (the mold) i know im allergic so i can only assume she would be sensitive too. > > The big puzzle for me is how can he possibly have Lyme, Strep, Viral, Mercury, Candida all at once and what should we be doing first as though we were right at the start of his journey rather than 6 or 7 years down the road. > > Advice would be welcome. > > > If he has metal poisoning, I would recommend you go ahead and treat that. If you aren't sure, then get him tested. I have never done testing, so I am in no position to advise on that. If you do chelate, please use a safe protocol. > > If you don't use sea salt already, I would recommend you try that -- specifically Celtic sea salt. It has more minerals in it and does something different for the body than other sea salt brands. It can help both keep yeast under control and help the body combat infection. > > For strep, what has worked for me was a combination of vitamin A, vitamin E and Olive Leaf extract. Given your description, it sounds to me like other health issues are likely a very big part of your child's situation. My youngest son became a less angry, raging individual and his social skills improved dramatically when addressed mold issues in the home that we had known we had. Mold and other fungus tends to be more active at night, so it tends to promote insomnia. I believe insomnia is also very hard on the body in terms of health. Melatonin is not only important to the sleep cycle, it also has important immune functions. If that sounds at all familiar, I would encourage you to consider that part of the problem may be fungal. Oil of Oregano is a good antifungal. > > Good luck and I hope others speak up soon. > > Michele > http://www.healthgazelle.com > http://www.kidslikemine.com > http://www.solanorail.com >

We typically treat that with a good multivitamin. But it occurs to me that he takes those vitamins a lot less these days because he is generally less crazy-making than he used to be. So the mold issue that was impacting his temper may have also played a role in his tendency to be OCD. I get somewhat OCD when I am ill and short of sleep. Since mold can make you an insomniac, I can readily see a potential connection -- at least in my family. FWIW.
