Guest guest
Has anyone used the Kirkman's Magnesium Sulfate cream with their child? I do the epsom salt baths which seem to help, but I wanted to try this also. ) Ginger
Guest guest
Yes--we use Kirkman's Magnesium Sulfate cream for our 3 yr old daughter. However, because she is on so many other supplements, I couldn't tell you the exact effect of the cream... she seems to be going through detox now, based on her behaviors (will run urine test soon), so something is working. Sorry that is not very helpful. > > Has anyone used the Kirkman's Magnesium Sulfate cream with their child? Guest guest
My son gets an epsom salts bath every other night and a 1/4 tsp of Kirlman's mag sulf rubbed into his back on the other nights. These are the only 'supplements " he is currently on (we started them in late Nov.) so I feel pretty good about saying that they are the cause of his good night's sleep. The baths seem to have a very calming effect on him, in particular. hth, Rose > > > > > > Has anyone used the Kirkman's Magnesium Sulfate cream with their > child? Guest guest
Hi Dana, you might want to look at this website http://www.ecomall.com/greenshopping/cusp.htm WHY WORRY ABOUT CHLORINE? The simple answer is that chlorine is a quick and easy way to kill bacteria, fungus and other microorganisms, some of which can cause disease and illness. However, as with most quick fixes, such as many prescription drugs, we find that the side effects outweigh the benefits. Chlorine is an inorganic substance that chemically bonds with protein. This bonding often results in dry, brittle, dull looking hair and/or flaky, itchy skin. Efforts at relieving such uncomfortable and sometimes embarrassing conditions involve the use of a wide range of remedies, such as special shampoos, conditioners, lotions, salves and moisturizing creams. Though these may bring temporary relief, the symptoms are likely to continue as long as chlorinated water is used. Healthy glowing skin depends on a delicate ecological balance of natural bacteria and a very thin layer of non-greasy oils, called lipids. Chlorine disrupts this natural balance and reacts with lipids to form chlorinated compounds. These compounds, when absorbed by the body, can promote the aging process of the skin. Some researchers believe chlorine may actually accelerate the aging effects of ultraviolet radiation. Chlorine is one of the five electronegative elements known to damage enzymes. Chlorine potentiates magnesium deficiency, which over time can manifest as a variety of symptoms including high blood pressure, chemical sensitivity and in rare cases, sudden death. Chlorine also decreases the absorption rate and increases the excretion of calcium and phosphorus. This increased loss of calcium is thought to promote osteoporosis. You may not be able to control the amount of chlorine used by state or local institutions and municipalities, or even your friends and neighbors. But it is important to protect your health not only by drinking pure water, but also by bathing or showering in water without chlorine. (if you can help it ) cheers Doris danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > I was just curious, do you think the chlorinated water makes him hyper? > I have two boys with autism and we have a pool and I've never made that > connection. Guest guest
Thanks for that link. People think I'm crazy that I don't want to put my 11mo in a pool. We just got the filters I ordered on Thurs (from a vary nice small company) and they are set for my sons's baths. Our sink filter will also remove flouride. I keep seeing articles about issues with that, as well. > > I was just curious, do you think the chlorinated water makes him hyper? > > I have two boys with autism and we have a pool and I've never made that > > connection. > > Info on chlorine/pool problems > > http://www.danasview.net/chlorine.htm > > Dana > > > > > > __________________________________________________ >
