Guest guest
Hi, This is my son's 3rd week on Nystatin, and his echolalia is so bad! He is getting probiotics and his regular vitamins too. I guess this is just what happens while you are treating yeast. Good Luck! Susi > > Hi all - I just started dd on nystatin about a week ago, had a few > runny, runny poops but now they are firmed up. Guest guest
I am just learning about all of the biomedical interventions. We haven't started a whole lot yet since we see our DAN next month. My son has always had probably 75 - 80% of his speech either with echolalia or scripting (are they the same?). Does this mean he has yeast issues? I just feel so grateful for everyone who is willing to share because I am just learning so much from everyone. Thanks, Jana gfcfmommy <gfcfmommy@...> wrote: Hi, This is my son's 3rd week on Nystatin, and his echolalia is so bad! He is getting probiotics and his regular vitamins too. Guest guest
Has your child been tested for bacteria as well? Bacteria over growth can turn the language into scripting. Also bacteria can grow out of hand while treating yeast especially if you has some overgrowth to begin with. Any other issues like becoming more opositional, moody etc? Good luck, Haleh > > > > Hi all - I just started dd on nystatin about a week ago, had a few > > runny, runny poops but now they are firmed up. Does this mean he has yeast issues? For my son, scripting was caused by deficiencies in EFAs, B12, and especially folic acid. Dana
Guest guest
hi all please advise what is scripting and how is it different from echolalia and what may be the causes for them shelka halniaz <halniaz@...> wrote: Has your child been tested for bacteria as well? Guest guest
Haleh - dd was tested for bacteria way back in March before we had started any yeast protocol and no bad bacteria was found. However, I did GSE a few weeks back with good results but that combined now with the nystatin may have kicked up a bacteria problem. She does get 1 full cap of pro-bio gold day but I am thinking of adding culterelle also. Any thoughts on that? Also, do you have any experience with threelac? Thanks for your response - your advice is always appreciated!! > > > > > > Hi all - I just started dd on nystatin about a week ago, had a few > > > runny, runny poops but now they are firmed up. Guest guest
Hi Shelka - when my daughter scripts she is repeating verbatim a tv show or movie or commercial or a story from a book. She has great language however and will have conversations with us, ask questions, etc. However, in between these times she is constantly talking to herself, with scripting or echolalia. Echolalia, I believe, is repeating spoken words/phrases over and over. For instance, my dd just this morning was saying " take your vitamins " over and over. This is what we call the chewable enzymes and what we say before every meal. I know some echolalia is when the child repeats exactly what you have just said to them. Perhaps someone else can give you a more comprehensive explanation, but this is my understanding of these issues. I don't know what causes these things! I wish I did. I have heard they can be from bacterial overgrowth (Haleh just advised me of that), or deficiencies in B12 or folic acid. Hope this helps, > > > > > > Hi all - I just started dd on nystatin about a week ago, had a few > > > runny, runny poops but now they are firmed up. Guest guest
We recently had a very bad regression after caEDTA chelation and it turned out to be bad bacteria and yeast. The bacteria over growth caused my sons meaningful words to go away and he mainly just scripted. Now we are doing antibiotic and nystatin simoultaniously as I want to have a clean slate. During the time that we were treating naturally, I gave over 250 billion count of various probiotics still with little improvements. Now I have learned that during any yeast treatment a vey high dose of probiotics is especially wise to not give bad bacteria any chance to grow. So adding a couple of culturelle is wise. I would also look into GSE or Uva Ursi or anything else that kills yeast and bacteria both. Best of luck, Haleh > > > > > > > > Hi all - I just started dd on nystatin about a week ago, had a > few > > > > runny, runny poops but now they are firmed up. Guest guest
Hi, Here is some information on the various functions either immediate or delayed echolalia may be serving for your child: some communicative, some not: http://www.bbbautism.com/pdf/article_59_echolalia_and_autism.pdf#search='functio\ ns%20of%20echolalia' Sorry I can't comment about causes. Hope this helps. genuine4321 <genuine4321@...> wrote: Hi Shelka - when my daughter scripts she is repeating verbatim a tv show or movie or commercial or a story from a book. Guest guest
My son does this constantly, and he doesn't otherwise really talk. I thought it might be from yeast, but the more I killed yeast, the more he did it. Haleh you are a saint. He did stop doing it twice recently when he was taking Cipro, which he was on for other reasons. The first time he stopped making the sounds THE MINUTE I gave him the Cipro. I thought it was temporary, because of the taste in his mouth; it was that sudden. Wow. What antibacterial does anyone use for this? All I have is cipro here. Guest guest
please let me know what are the symptoms of a bacterial overgrowth and what are the over the counter remedies available. shelka Amy <noahsmom7898@...> wrote: My son does this constantly, and he doesn't otherwise really talk. Info here http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm I use olive leaf extract for a bad bacteria problem. Increasing probiotics can also work.
