Guest guest
I respect her opinions very much. I do have to say though that I undoubtedly have brain yeast in combination with sinus yeast sometimes. I'm a performer, and the difference in my perceptions and neurological abilities in front of a few hundred people, with vs. without brain yeast, is unbelievable. I used to think I was just " artistic " so my brain worked differently and certain things - like occasionally seeing 2 of everything or having no idea if I was singing the right words or even was on the right page, as the words were coming out of my mouth into the microphone (this was terrifying) - were just part of that. Now that I use threelac and know what yeast is, my brain is fine.... except when it's got yeast. He has been craving potato chips to no end and other carbs. His bowel movements haven't real been that weird lately. Usually just 2 bowel movements in the am and mid morning (soft but not diarrhea). We just started Lauricidan 2 days ago and he seems a little better. If we can find out from our doctor what type of yeast he has can you reccomend what type of natural yeast control to use? With his diet right now (which he is refusing to change) I know I can only keep the yeast down but not get rid of it completely. He was recently on diflucan and had some scarey side effects. At least we think that was what his symptoms were from. But they matched the side effects list for diflucan all too well to just keep him on it. His liver function was fine but I just don't think he tolerated it. He has always seemed to tolerate low dose nystatin but our Dan Dr. doesn't think we should use it. I am worried that Lauricidan will cause more yeast. Can I use candex with it? I know he has phenol issues (mostly to red fruits- like strawberries, raisins, red grape juice). Can I use GSE with 1/2 cap of candex and 1/2 cap of no-fenol safely while using lauricidan? Can I at least just give candex along with his other enzymes before meals to help keep the yeast down? His yeast showed up as 1+ with resistance to nystatin. Is this bad? He als only showed sensitivity to milk on intolerance tests. Is it a good thing that only 1 food intolerance showed up? Does it mean his leaky gut problem isn't that bad? Also it says not to chew lauricidan. Why is that? I have been crushing it and mixing it into his pureed bananas- is that Okay? Thanks for any advice. Wanda

Yeast in the head/brain is very very very common in people with AIDS and other severe immune deficiency issues. So Dr. Cave might not be current in this issue, or she might believe it is in the *head* but not specifically in the *brain*. I have personally experienced yeast in the head/brain, and it is VERY nasty. Dana

Why is that? > > > It tastes NASTY. > > Dana > Hi Dana, Your info is always helpful. It is funny that you mention lays potato chips because it is the brand that he is eating (the natural kind) now I just read how sunflower oil has alot of omega 6's and can be harmful to immune system. They also have b6 in them which the yeast can probably feed off of. Not to mention all the starch. I am going to keep him away from the chips they are one thing that I know makes his blood sugar rise pretty quickly because I have tested it after he eats them. Also for sinus issues do you primarily use grapefruit seed extract? We have been giving him his zyrtec because it helps him be able to breath at night but he has obvious sensitivity to it because it is basically sugar syrup with alot of preservatives and artificial flavors (checked and got list of ingredients from pharmacy). I am so upset right now because I told his DAN Dr. that it was yeast that was causing him to stand on his head like that and rub his forhead on the floor because his sinuses were bothering him (just at that point in his office the mucous hadn't started to come out his nose just yet). But you can see it in his eyes that he is suffering from it (I have chronic sinusitus so I can tell). Also, he has been rubbing at his tongue and it looks kind of funny but can't tell if there is any yeast on it. Maybe the Lauricidin is doing that to his tongue (I crush it in his bananas is that OK to do?). If he has yeast in his mouth too will grapefruit seed extract help with that too? Everything my DAN Dr. tells us to do either gives him diarrhea or makes him throw up or get cracked lips or contains phenols. I am just so mad right now. He was doing better when I just went to a nutritionist that cost $40 an hour and prescribed only natural stuff to a Dr. that charges $275-$650 an hour. He never makes good suggestions other than the supplements he sells. He never tells us why a particular behavior might happen - like the fact that P5P would give him night wakings- I figured that out myself. So tommorrow I am going to try to start my own yeast treatment. I have GSE, candex, candidase, echinacea, probiotics. I would like to do 1/2 cap of candex, full cap of no-fenol and 1 drop of GSE. Should I stop the Lauricidan? Or continue while adding in the different yeast therapy? Please help I am really confused - Maybe you could refresh me on the protocol for no-fenol with GSE and how to administer it. Thank you for all your help, Wanda

I Know you said he would go nutty with strawberries (but they seem to aggrivate most everyone's kids). Maybe my son doesn't have phenol intolerance except to a few things? Maybe it is just yeast. Does yeast also cause red ears? I never really noticed the red ears as much until we stop doing yeast treatments. Stawberries give him red ears, red grape juice gave him burning red ears, papaya gives him red ears. It seemed to me that sweet potatoes gave him red ears- are they phenols? Of course if he has a choice of a lollipop color (organic or not) he would choose red. Your son's issues always sound a lot like the ones my son has. Also where do you list on your web page the supplements that most helped your children with speech? What do you think about supplementing with just single types of yeast free b vitamins. Would b1 be helpful on it's own for someone with yeast issues? I know alchoholics lack this vitamin alot. But I didn't know if it is ever supplemented alone or how it is supplemented in an activated form. P5P gave him night wakenings but more speech and a little more cognition. But b6 in any form can build up can't it? I don't think b1 does. Thank you so much again, Wanda

I guess it depends what kind of yeast. Maybe it is the Cod Liver oil that is causing the constipation. I don't know...I guess constipation but still going 2x a day is better than diarrhea 4x a day and throwing up. We just stopped giving him rice milk today because it is supposed to be really bad for people with yeast problems and it is also the only thing left that has traces of gluten in it. So we shall see what happens. Also does Zinc or vitamin c help your kids with yeast issues?. When he has a snack of say a gluten free granola bar how much and what enzymes should I use? And if he is having drink of 1/2 pear juice and water how much and what enzyme should I put in it? If he is going to have a lollipop that has just cane sugar and lemon juice in it how much & what enzyme should I use? Have you ever used DMG- it is also supposed to be antifungal too isn't it? Guest guest
> What would be the benefit of keeping the lauricidan while taking the > GSE- can it help at all with yeast because it says it is supposed to. Based on my experience with my kids and Lauricidin, the Lauricidin is significantly *more* effective against viruses, than it is against yeast. So if you want to address viruses, and if your child has a lot of viruses to address, then you will need to give GSE or other yeast killer along with the Lauricidin. > I guess it depends what kind of yeast. Could this also be caused by bacteria overgrowth? He was on diflucan and it caused terrible diarrhea (but with no real smell) and a rash so I know it killed yeast and we also were using Klare's therbiotic. At that time my son's yeast was at 1+ and good bacteria was 3 out of 4- could we have killed the yeast with the diflucan and then maybe swung in the other direction to bacteria overgrowth? He is doing at least one poop a day but mostly constipated- no rashes. GSE isn't even giving him loose stools. He isn't acting that hyper like he does when I know he difinitely has yeast. He is unfocused. Can a sinus problem also be caused by bacteria overgrowth? He is standing on head and sometimes swiping at his ears, carb craving, climbing on things. Could the probiotic be constipating him? I know some people have said that bacteria overgrowth can be caused by encopresis. Can bacteria cause this? His poops lately haven't really smelled that much that is why I was wondering if this is all from an overgrowth of good bacteria? Any advice would be great. Should I just try stopping the probiotic? I think when I take anything but plain acidolphilus I get constipated too. Thanks, Wanda

My ds has had a horrific cold for over a week now, and can't shake it. Is this a sign of yeast in the brain? He is also very spacy, although maintaining his gains...but much more spacy and some stimming is up-echolealia is also up. Sorry to be a pest, and make people like Dana repost the same thing as a day ago!
