We didn't have regression but not a lot of correction to continue like I had hoped. Even with craniosacral therapy, things were slow to come and I didn't want to take a chance. I went back to my neurologist and pleaded for a second band. I wanted the STAR Band, less money and no travel. He wasn't even aware of the product. Not sure he new much about the DOC Band I begged him for back in May either. I gave him brochures on the DOC and printed out info on the Internet for the STAR Band. My insurance did give a little grief about the second band. They wanted his medical records sent in and I sent a letter explaining that we should have gone for a second DOC Band but opted to do craniosacral therapy, paid cash on our own, but felt we needed a second band. We had no problems getting coverage a second time and they were very nice. Also explained how the STAR Band was local and in net work. When we went for our DOC Band we had to go out of network because of he FDA thing going on. Even though we were out of network they still paid at 100%. I was shocked. I explained to them about the FDA thing and how I had to go out of network for treatment so that must have been why. Anyway, we just had one trip in to the neurosurgeon and we got our second band approved with some pleading on my part. I know of someone who just got a helmet for sleeping in at night for fear of regression and in hopes of seeing more improvement. I think my local orthotics guy said you could pick up one for around $500. Just an idea too. I know a hard decision. I struggled for months. My parents to this day are not supportive of this second band. They thought good enough. Well, I wouldn't settle for anything but 20/20 vision. Guest guest
Hi Joan, Did CT do an exit cast on your daughter, so that you could compare her head shape at the end of treatment with the shape now?
