Could possibly be alkaptonuria. Ask your doctor to check it out.

See:

http://www.emedicine.com/ped/topic64.htm

I don't have any other ideas. If you were heterozygous for the condition, it is

possible that

during pregnancy you wouldn't have enough enzymes to prevent the condition from

showing, when you would at other times. But I'm not a doctor, you'll have to

find one who

knows about this, probably a geneticist or a metabolic specialist.

Peace,

Kathy E.

It sounds like a mold problem, which would make me suspect yeast.

Maybe the yeast is not showing on the tests? Try increasing your

yeast protocol, see if that helps.

This happens to us periodically in my son's bathroom. It looks like

mold and I have assumed that's what it was. The bathroom is not any

more or less humid or dirty so yes, I assume it's from his urine. My

son's labs are frequently negative for yeast or the metabolites are

not clinically high, but like the research reported on

http://greatplainslaboratory.com about yeast and tartaric acid, the

minute my son is on less than 2 Nystatin tabs per day his tartaric

acid levels shoot up (I've done those labs). He has horrendous yeast

which accounts for most of his behaviors which for him is more likely

to show up on an OAT and has never shown up in a stool test.
