She even had the nerve to tell me that my suggested manifestations, is actually a cause of synostosis, a premature closing of the sutures, and not Plagiocephaly. Guest guest Posted January 15, 2001 Report Share Posted January 15, 2001 , I posted a message in a Family Forum area regarding the Petition. This is the woman that gave me the pediatrician bit. For two days we have been going back and forth over the issue that babies with Plagiocephaly need treatment. Well, after that last statement, I told her this again proves that she is not an expert in Plagiocephaly. She is basically choosing ignorance, over informing and educating for fear that some parents may disregard the supine sleeping position, and that would cause more infants dying of SIDS. Now she does have a point, but what makes anyone think that it is not already happening? Well, I reiterated over and over again that I am not against the " Back to Sleep " Campaign. And her statements alone prove there needs to be more education, and maybe her medical books, and journals might just be a little out dated and if she would like a list of links to further educate herself then please feel free to email me. Well, so far no word after this reply, and I have deleted the messages from the area. What is so absurd is that she said " Excuse me Ma'am, I am an eye doctor!
