Guest guest
Diane, Thanx for you reply. I'm definitely going to look at that Britax. Appreciate it! Guest guest
Kendra, I too hate those locking clips and I am obsessive when it comes to installing car seats (me standing on the car seat to get it in!). Since I will be taking the seat in and out for daycare, it sounds like the one with built in locking clips (Britax) may be worth the extra money for us. Also, I need one that's easy to adjust for different thicknesses of clothing. Thanx for your help! Guest guest
Lori, Please refresh my memory on how to access epinions. Thanx a bunch! Guest guest
We have the Britax Roundabout, as well. Before the girls were born (twins, Hanna and Sophie, 6 months) we bought the Graco infant carrier type, but unfortunately it did not fit in my car (Saab), so we decided to invest in the Britax after they were born, and after much research, figuring even though they seemed pricey, they would take us through a long time, newborn up. It is so easy and feels real secure in the car with the tether, even though I have my face in the steering wheel to make room for them rear facing. I'm very happy with it. > Off the subject, but is about to turn one soon and is ready > for a " big girl " carseat. Guest guest
, Thanks for your input. I have heard nothing but raves about those Britax car seats! Now I have to find a store locally that carries them. Anyone know if they have their own website? I may have to travel to L.A. to get one, but I could combine it with my next trip for band adjustment. Thanx again, Sue > > Off the subject, but is about to turn one soon and is ready > > for a " big girl " carseat. Guest guest
I have a Britax and I really love it. I think that both the Britax and maxi-cosi were ranked among the safest with the side impact resistance features. We have the leopard print cover. It was really expensive - $200.00 but Maggie was worth it. Kaycee in albany NY > Off the subject, but is about to turn one soon and is ready > for a " big girl " carseat. Guest guest
, I like the fact that the Eddie Bauer goes from car seat to booster and also has strap adjustment from the front. I haven't been able to find one locally to see it, and it's hard for me to order something like that wothout seeing it first! One thing that is important to me is the ease of installment. I will be taking the car seat in and out for the babysitter and need one that's simple. How would you rate the Eddie Bauer? Thanks so much for your help. Thanks to all who gave advice for the car seat, and especiallly for the plagio issues. There is so much knowledge, experience, and good old fashioned concern among the members of this group. I feel so lucky to have found you all. God Bless!! Sue & (1/21/00 and banded 9/29/00) How can her first year have gone by so quickly??? Guest guest
Debby, Thanks. I did find one store locally which carries the Britax car seats. I decided to get the Freeway model and it had to be ordered. It is cheaper and I don't need the rear facing feature. Thanks to all who helped me out !!
