Guest guest
Do any of your Autism Spectrum kids play video games (X-Box or Playstation) for hours at a time?
Guest guest
Thanks for the answer. Max recently got a " new " used game, I think he spent a total of four hours playing it (I thought he was upstairs sleeping a long, daytime nap, sometimes he does but less frequently now). I didn't have any trouble getting him to quit, I never do, and sometimes he gets frustrated if the game is " hard " and quits by himself. It is just he has never concentrated so hard on a game before. Guest guest
My five year old daughter can play for hours and she is able to play them quite well in fact. She has beaten almost every game we have. I am not a big fan of small kids playing the games, but gosh, it sure keeps her happy at times and I do admit to letting her play them when I need to get something done around the house. SHE LOVES THEM!!
Guest guest
My child is happy doing just about anything for hours but, we have a scheduled time to let her play the V-Smile also. She seems to be able to figure things out really well. She is 6 and even knows how to hook it up by plugging in the right colors where on the back of the tv. I can't even get them right half the time! We had to move the game console out into the LR for safety reasons but, she still plays. I have noticed her reacting weird after watching certain movies or shows like maybe she had a staring seizure or got EXTREMLY HYPER. After I put into effect a routine, she doesn't get enough time to watch a whole movie in the afternoon anymore. I am not a huge fan of too much tv myself. The pc is my weakness! Now I hide the game till the weekend. --- Neal <teddi3@...> wrote: > Do any of your Autism Spectrum kids play video games > (X-Box or Playstation) for hours at a time? > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > __________________________________________________

Not usually for longer than an hour, but mine do like to play the games. I use them as part of our homeschool program, games like Reader Rabbit and Jump Start.
