Guest guest
>>>> My son has AS and I read they typically don't respond as well to diet changes. I'm wondering how many of you have had IgG testing and based food eliminations on that or just decided to try one or more foods. I didn't do the testing because I was told it wasn't that accurate and we may have to do the foods one by one anyway. So I just started through the major foods but planned on trying enzymes initially anyway. We found dairy was one food, but started the enzymes and all the rest of the 'issues' faded away. So never got around to more food removals as it was irrelevant then. If you do the testing and get back a huge number of foods...say...over 20 common foods (48, 72 including foods he has never had), that is a dead giveaway that it may very well be a leaky gut situation where there is poor digestion across the board instead of any couple of foods truly being a problem. If only a few key foods turn up, it is more likely to be those are true targeted food intolerances. Enzymes can help in either situation. But it can be really alarming to get test results back with an enormous number of foods turning up as off limits forever. .
Guest guest
> Also, I have GSE and I was planning on doing 1 drop a day and no-fenol. From what I've read > here, is sounds like one day may be enough to kill them -- is that right? Depending on how much yeast is there, and what food and supplements you are giving, one drop per day with No-Fenol might be sufficient. >> Also, I'm not sure > he has a yeast issue. The kinesiologist we went to said there wasn't one, but he had really, > really bad thrush when he was an infant, so I want to treat it as long as the treatment isn't > dangerous if he doesn't really have it. Should I be worried? If he has no yeast, GSE can tend to cause a bad bacteria problem. You might want to start by giving No-Fenol by itself, on an empty stomach, and see what changes you might notice. Dana
