Guest guest
Hello, I have a question, we started using AFP and zymeprime chewables like three months ago, my daughter is on the gfcf diet but it seems that when my she takes the enzymes with every meal or more often she gets very stimmi and in her own world; but when I let her have planned infractions she is fine with the enzymes but if she has an infraccion without enzymes and she gets sooooo crazy is scary. Any way my point is that I have seen that the enzymes really work for her, and the question is this ... Is there a lot of you who only uses enzymes for infraccions only and stay on the diet the rest of the time? and another question is if is there a limit on the amount of probiotics she can take? I only give her 1 pill in the morning on an empty stomach of the Houston kind, but I feel she has yeast issues and maybe giving her more probiotics might help, she is 5 years old and weighs like 35 pounds. Thanks, Cecilia
Guest guest
Hi Celia, My grandson has just started using the same enzymes as your dd. He is 5 1/2 and weighs the same. We began biomedical treatments 2 1/2 years ago. He has been taking 1 Kirkman's Pro-Bio Gold per day for his pro-biotic. Previous to the switch to Houstin's, he only took an enzyme (Kirkman's Enzyme Complete) in the case of an accidental infraction. I attended a lecture given by Dr. Devin Houstin and we (meaning Devin and our DAN!) determined that those particular enzymes would be best. Our DAN! cautioned us to stick with the diet and gradually introduce the enzymes a little more for accidental as well as planned infractions. My grandson is a classic case of leaky gut. However, there are four children in the family, and the diet is getting harder to adhere to. My dd and sil are thrilled that he can now have more foods, and he is probably taking in more wheat than his body is ready for. Generally, he is doing well, but we definately see more hyperactivity than we have in the past. I just joined this list, and haven't gone over any back posts. I am curious to see if the increased hyperactivity is a reaction from the gluten (he rarely has dairy, unless the infraction includes dairy in the ingredients. I can't say that we are seeing actual stims, but hyperactivity counts, in my book. He has also started using oxytocin nasal spray, so I don't know if that could heighten his sensitivity to the enzymes. The hyperness only follows enzymes and infractions... and it is not all the time. In general, these enzymes are a nice addition to his protocol. He has been so happy to be able to partake in treats. I don't know if there has been a weight gain yet, but he needs a little meat on those bones! I too, will be interested to see if others have seen increased stims and hyperactivity at first and if this subsides after awhile! -Trish > > Hello, I have a question, we started using AFP and zymeprime chewables like three months ago, my daughter is on the gfcf diet but it seems that when my she takes the enzymes with every meal or more often she gets very stimmi and in her own world; but when I let her have planned infractions she is fine with the enzymes but if she has an infraccion without enzymes and she gets sooooo crazy is scary. Maybe the flavors of the chewables are causing problems, and the No-Fenol usually helps with that. Or, try capsules or powder instead of chewables.
