You see, in addition to my son, age 3, I have a " NT " daughter age 8. Dd is obsessed with food, never seems to know when she is full/hungry (it seems she thinks feeling " not full " is the same as being hungry), is very picky but overeats, always wants junkfood, etc. I'm just so frustrated because dh & I are fairly healthy eaters (rarely eat refined sugar, eat fruits, veges, home cooked meals, etc.) Dd will overeat if given the opportunity & then spends the night throwing up (as happened today at her aunt's house, all's it takes is too much junk food & her system overloads). Despite my continuous hearty encouragement for her to make " healthy choices " she has continued to gain weight. I'm tired of the struggle with no results. Talk here of yeast issues, etc. have made me wonder what could be underlying my dd's food problem/weight gain. Can anyone point me towards some help? I imagine this could be partly related to food intollerances? We had testing done a year or so ago at the naturopath & had a lot of foods come up. We eliminated them & when reintroduced one at a time I still couldn't tell if she was reacting to any of them. Maybe enzymes could help her? I did get her to try & eat a ZP tonight (she didn't like the AFP) since I'm trying them on ds too. Anyways, must go to bed now (12:25am PST)- thanks for listening. Blessings, , mom to Nate, age 3, and dd, age 8 __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Thank you for the thought- I appreciate " leaving no stone unturned " . From what I've seen on the web, she wouldn't fit the profile. The arc website listed some of these symptoms: short stature, mental retardation or learning disabilities My dd is the tallest girl (only two other boys are taller) in her class, and her teacher has recommended she be tested for the gifted program. But thank you anyways- > > Hi , > > Has anyone ruled out Prader-Willi syndrome? > > Regards, > Sylvia > Gladstone...Qld...Australia > >
Guest guest
my son has always been obsessed with food. i read in the " out of sync child " book it is sensory. my son does has major sensory issues (hypo-sensitive). what i do is if he eats a good meal (at one setting as he is a grasser), i will not let him eat anything else for at least 1 1/2 hrs. i expl to him he simply cannot eat again after just eating. even after explaining everything to him, he still wants to eat. cant help himself. vicki
Guest guest
I spent almost 10 years with insatiable hunger. My life revolved around eating or thinking about eating. It was time consuming and expensive. I probably averaged over 5,000 calories per day, with somedays exceeding 10,000 calories. I only weighed 135lbs at 6ft tall. My blood sugar was never higher than 50 and it wasn't uncommon to be below 20. My issue ended up being a blockage in my spleen meridian and was fixed by one quick stimulation to an acupuncture point on my ankle. After that treatment, my weight shot up to 185lbs within 2 months. Then I figured out I no longer had insatiable hunger and my blood sugar was in the " normal " range (80-100). Now I eat regular amounts of food and enjoy feeling full/satisfied, and my weight has settled down to about 170-175lbs. Dan
Guest guest
>>even after explaining everything > to him, he still wants to eat. cant help himself. When my son always wanted to eat, it meant he was eating a food or supplement he did not tolerate, or he had a yeast overgrowth issue.
