Yeast .confused....

Ok, I had posted above about CLO causing diarrhea in my 2year old

ASD child, as well as me and my 3 year old (nt) son. There was a

reply about possibly yeast not being under control and until that

time he may not be able to tolerate many supplements.

I am confused as to when I am supposed to know it is gone or at

least under control? I know it is still there some as he has the

yeast rash that comes and goes and the black flecks in his BM's, but

how do I know if it is under control?

He went through a bad die-off just from us adding probiotics several

weeks ago. He had a terrible itchy rash and then almost a terrible

cold for a day or so. He also stopped much of his hyperness and the

giggling for NO reason. Since then, he has seemed stable you could

say. No more die-off. Does that mean I'm not done and I should

increase something?

He is on Diflucan, which soon will become nystatin for a few months.

He also takes a probiotic and no-fenol on an empty stomach before

breakfast and before bed. He is GFCF and pretty much SF now. He also

has almost NO sugar and no refined foods right now as we are heading

toward SCD. I have GSE, but don't give it regularly because I

thought the yeast was going away and worried about his developing

bad bacteria in place of the yeast as Dana has mentioned.

I hope someone has some knowledge about this because I am clueless

here.

Thanks for any help,

Laurie G
