Guest guest
Well, we were using the Houston enzymes for my stepson, thanks to 's book (and that's how I got on this list!). I became a Global Health Trax distributor to ensure a consistent " low " price (49.95/box) on ThreeLac. The only recommended " extra " I get is activated charcoal. Oxygen Elements sounds good (I got it once), but it brings the cost up too much for us right now. Another thing I'm interested in is a good multi-strain probiotic to repopulate the gut, but the one Global Health Trax makes contains gelatin, so I won't be using it . . . I'm seriously considering using fermented foods (sauerkraut, etc.) for this purpose. We first did a round of an herbal antifungal blend (can't remember the name) which we got in the colon therapy office after my stepson's colonics. (I don't think the antifungal was the best approach; knowing about ThreeLac, now, I recommend it instead.) We started the ThreeLac soon afterward--about a year and a half ago. My stepson's use was consistent when he was living with us, but stopped completely when he was forced to stay with his mom in April. It worked really well to control the yeast when he was taking it. After he'd been on ThreeLac for some time, he was also taking a chewable probiotic (Udo's). I've continued to take ThreeLac, but not consistently until recently. I find it does make a big difference. I realized I wasn't taking enough, so went up to 2 packets/day, and intend to go to 4. It works best for me to also avoid yeast-feeding foods (though they say you don't need to for it to be effective), but since I don't always do so, ThreeLac saves me. If I forget to take it during the day (before or after eating, as recommended), I usually can remember to take it at bedtime. And activated charcoal is great for the die-off. I know I haven't been consistent or aggressive enough to get my body back in balance, yet, but recognize ThreeLac as an excellent tool for keeping the candida population in check.
