Guest guest
Hi Ronni, Your comment about " it doesn't seem like we are getting anywhere...but I guess we are " reminded me of a comment a friend of mine made several years ago: your problems show where your progress is. We had advanced in about 3 years from unable to say 2-syllable words without a big gap in the middle (motor planning problems) to worried about pronouns and prepositions being correct. It's also helpful if you have them to look back on old videos of your children at various ages and see what they could/couldn't do and how whatever interventions you've done have changed things. Even if you don't have a video recorder, has anyone taken videos at parties or similar family/group gatherings that you could borrow and copy the parts that have your child in them? We've done this with the videos my sister-in-law took at our daughter's and her daughter's 2nd birthday parties, which are 5 weeks apart and we took our daughter off most milk about midway between the 2 events, so what was done as a family keepsake has become very interesting/important medical information, especially for sharing with professionals who didn't see her when she was younger so can't picture just how far behind she was then when they see her now. Hope this helps. ronnimike <HISSPECIALTOUCH@...> wrote: Just wanted to let ya know...I did the ATEC tests on the kids.....amazing... I realize that these tests aren't perfect....but this gives me hope...now if we can just get the gut and food issues solved....one step at a time with Jesus!!! Gotta sew my buttons back on!!!
