I've been here on this list for about a month now and, wow, you guys are really knowledgeable. Thanks for all of your info. Guest guest
You're welcome Allyn. I have also read that soaking your feet in epsom salt is a great way to get more magnesium in your body. The largest pores of the body are located on the feet! Guest guest
YES, and to also take a bath in them. I have used my mag. Gel in my bath but as yet have not put the epsoms in it and I do have some. I wonder why? Anyhow, to get a lotion with it is exciting. Do you know what other ingredients are in the lotion? It would not make much sense to put on lotion to get the magnesium if it has a bunch of chemicals in it. Although I doubt there is. Guest guest
I just tried it and it worked. I used shea butter, which someone here was going to try and it worked okay -- I had to reheat and remix, but I think I have a good blend. I'm going to try it out tonight. > > I don't have my book with me and I need to make some lotion. Is it 4T epsom salt to 1T > water? Guest guest
Yes, the quantity of water to salts is whatever amount of water it takes to get the salts to dissolve. Different water types in various areas with have different quantities of minerals and 'stuff' in it...and that may affect how much salts dissolve. Just goof around with it until the salts dissolve... I generally dissolve the salts and then mix them into whatever lotion was on sale that week. If the salts recrystalize, just reheat and add more water. . > > I just tried it and it worked.
