We weren't comfortable with the shots, so we do the Cod Liver Oil, and the DHA.

It's been great so far. My son too is a patient of Dr. Megson's.

Does anyone know of anyone, or has done the protocol, that I can e

mail about their experience with this?

We have done this 5.5 weeks ago and have had very good and immediate result

which has been sustained.

I am confused.

What do you mean by shots?

We used the Mycellized Vitamin A drops (Klaire's Lab).

To do that with CLO, you need to give multiple bottles of CLO to get that much

vitamin A.

Do you mean you are just supplementing with CLO? We did that for 8 months

before testing. And the test result shoed extremely low levels of A anyway. We

had nice gains on CLO too and I was always afraid of High Vitamin A Protocol

because of the over played word " vitamin A toxicity " . Now I wish I had done it

sooner because my son is much happier and healthier since.

Haleh where do you find these vitamin A drops? I have been wanting

to try this protocol as well, but I only seem to find Vitamin A

carotenes, fish oil, or A & D combined at the HFS. Thanks so

Ours is from Klaire's lab. We bought it from our DAN but if you do have a DAN

doctor, you can call the Lab and give the name of your DAN Dr and buy

directly. Dr. McCandless have posted in her group that you can use her

name and say you were referred to them by her (she is truly an angle). She

refers many to Klaires for a number of products especially probiotics. Also I

have seen Klaire's Mycellized Vitamin A drops at Amazon, but a bit more

expensive.

They are great quality and since each drop is 5,000 iu, the conversion is

easy.

You can google to get to their website. I would do it for you but got to get

ready for work.

There are shots that she can do in the office, very high vit. A protocol.

We've been doing this ~ our son takes the kirkman's Cod liver Oil, 4

capsules a day. He's been making improvements, but honestly, since we

do so many things w/ him (such as other therapies) not sure if his

improvements are directly related to this. I can say that any sideway

glances he did as a preschooler are gone as well as stimming from

spinning objects are gone as well.

When you buy a copy of her book " Children with Starving Brains " from her

website, you get an invitation to join this group.

It is a very good one and she periodically posts very helpful info.

Binstock, the infamous autism researcher is on this as well as is Owens,

the researcher who is doing studies on Low Oxalate Diet.

Also another advantage of buying this book from her site is that you get the

most updated book with all the newer treatments explained.

Great minds think alike! I had already thought of that. However,

when I spoke to her about the mercury issues about 6 mos ago she pretty

much said " Well I would have a hard time blaming the mercury " .

(sigh....) Guess you know the end of that story. Maybe I'll still

give it to her anyway. She's a great doctor, just not real helpful

with these biomedical issues. She did NOT, however, try to talk me

into continuing my childs vaccinations so maybe she knows more than she

is willing to admit.

Anyway, I have another question on the vitamin A drops. I found these

in a search, however I noticed that part of the mix is the beta-

carotene A. I thought that the high dose protocol was supposed to me

done with palmitate only. I'm not really sure if my daughter has the

carotene conversion problem or not, but I wanted to clarify this with

someone before I try to buy them. Is that portion of the drops just

ignored?? Also, is one bottle sufficient to do the 2 day high

Last I knew, Megson did not recommend a high dose vitamin A protocol,

and in fact, the person whose message I am specifically remembering,

indicated that Megson would " have a heart attack " if she gave her son

that much vitamin A. Has Megson changed her methodology?

Dr. McCandless has a high dose vitamin A protocol, which I have
