Guest guest
After months of supplementation I realized that for my son AFP Peptizide caused more issues than it helped. while it improved protein digestion, he did not do well on it behaviorally or in terms of Bowels. He stopped taking it and since my son only stops taking what he is reactive to, I didn't insist. He is doing better without it. I think the reason is that my son has autoimmune reaction to his own Dipeptidylpepdidase (DPP) enzymes and it finally occured to me that perhaps supplementing him with it may not have been wisest. We still have gut problems, but I know it is autoimmune related. I would be interested to know what Devin and 's thoughts are on supplementing with DPP for kids who have IgA to their own DDP. I have brought it up several times and made posts about it but haven't heard anything. I will keep searching outside this message board too. Guest guest
Hello, This is my first time here and I noticed the dark circle discussion. May I ask where they are, such as under the eyes I am wondering? I have a 4 yr old girl and we just started with a DAN practioner and our labs are not back from Great Plains as of yet. Sorry to slow everyone down..just trying to keep up and understand Thanks Patti A Balanced life is like having a cookie in each hand:) Re: Took care of the yeast, still dark circles. dark circles for my son means food intolerance (infractions) vicki
Guest guest
There are a few ingredients in the AFP chewables that can cause intolerance. I think we might be dealing with that here too, but I'm in denial. I won't go back to mixing powder. Food intolerance can cause circles, especially phenol intolerance. GSE is high phenol, so you might want to give it with No-Fenol enzyme http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm http://www.houstonni.com/ >> Is it possible that she is intolerant > to the AFP? Yes. Try removing it, see if that helps. >>Also, I know chlorine may be a problem and > she has been in the pool everyday - could this be a possible cause? Yes, for chemical sensitivity or yeast overgrowth issues. http://www.danasview.net/chlorine.htm Dana

May I ask where they are, such as under the eyes I am wondering? Most of the time, when someone indicates dark circles, it means under the eyes. Phenol intolerance is a common cause, altho there are other causes also http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm Dana
Guest guest
Thank You Dana, Not sure what Phenol Intolerance is yet but I am going to try a search Re: Took care of the yeast, still dark circles. > > Hello, > > This is my first time here and I noticed the dark circle discussion. Guest guest
Hi Patti - The circles look literally like racoon eyes. They are the darkest under the eyes, not as bad above. From another post I just noticed I see that the pool chlorine could be the cause for my daughter. I have heard of people spraying their kids with an epsom salt/water solution after swimming. I think I will try that and see if that helps. > > Hello, > > This is my first time here and I noticed the dark circle discussion. May I ask where they are, such as under the eyes I am wondering? Guest guest
Thanks Haleh - I have tried to email Dr. Houston directly but was bounced as the mail account was full. I will try again. I try to only start one thing at a time but it is still hard to figure out these symptoms! > > > >>The only problem is that since we > > > > started enzymes she has gotten really noticeable dark circles > > under > > > > her eyes. Guest guest
Hi Gen, Yes, We were told to do the Epsom salt /cornstarch baths and our md said also to put some shea butter on the girls before hand. I am guessing it does not let any metals or whatever into their skin...sort of like a barrier? Our doctor confirmed to me (when I placed a nervous phone call) that the dark circles are connected with the yeast or how one's system acts. Whatever the case, she is more alert and not drugged up. I am hoping your daughter is feeling good:)) Re: Took care of the yeast, still dark circles. > > > dark circles for my son means food intolerance (infractions) > > vicki > >
