Guest guest
There is an over the counter product called Debrox that is real good for removing ear wax. My son is an ear wax factory and this works well. HTH Rhonda in CA
Guest guest
Have you tried an ear candle? They work GREAT! ... as long as your son doesnt mind a 3-4 " flame above his head! lol! (it's safe though.. use a paper plate with a small hole cut in the middle, wrap in aluminum foil, insert candle in the hole about 2 or so inches.. let burn down to about 2 inches above the plate. > > Hi everyone, > > Does anybody have a better solution than olive oil for ear wax? has > quite a lot in his right ear and although I am perservering with the oil I am > not sure it is helping much. Guest guest
My son 7 yr old with autism never had ear infection. Now he has same problem with your child. The new supplement I added is enzymes. I really don't know if enzyme cause this problem. I can't wait for any response. Guest guest
Enzymes has helped my kids earwax issue. Two of mine had lots of excess wax but it has normalized with enzymes. If you are giving enzymes, are you giving all three Houstons??? If so maybe you could try giving more? Not sure but that is what worked for us. keda dervishi <kddervishi@...> wrote: My son 7 yr old with autism never had ear infection. Now he has same problem with your child. Guest guest
Boy, that's hard, my son get's glue ear from time to time and we syringe it at the doctors. I have heard the essential fatty acid deficiencies and the hairs inside the ear are related to some problems going on in the immune system. Kathy OT: Ear wax Hi everyone, Does anybody have a better solution than olive oil for ear wax? has quite a lot in his right ear and although I am perservering with the oil I am not sure it is helping much. Guest guest
My husband has had a lot of experience with this, and he swears by hydrogen peroxide. It works great to penetrate and break down the wax. You can get an ear syringe and a bottle of hydrogen peroxide inexpensively at the drugstore. Tilt his head, squeeze enough hydrogen peroxide in to cover the wax, let it sit for 60-90 seconds (realistically, as long as he'll let you; a few seconds is better than nothing, it just may take more applications), tilt his head back the other way again (over the sink, or a bowl, or washcloth, to catch the drips). Then repeat that process with warm water. Keep alternating with hydrogen peroxide and warm water until the wax is gone. It sort of tickles, but it doesn't hurt, and it takes patience, because it could take as much as half an hour or more. (Maybe someone could help distract him while you're doing it.) Several shorter sessions would be more productive than not doing it at all.) Guest guest
If it's yeast, which it is for my kids, I put one drop of grapefruit seed extract on a cotton swab and put it in each ear. Last time the wax got excessive, I did that for about a week every morning, and neither one has had anything since. Guest guest
" Excess ear wax is a classic symptom of deficiency in fatty acids, unless you actually have a troublesome ear infection. I have heard the essential fatty acid deficiencies and the hairs inside the ear are related to some problems going on in the immune system. My son had an ear wax, and glue ear, problem. He was deficient in fatty acids, but he did not tolerate any fats until I added mito cocktail and amino acids. Once I did that, he did well with EFAs and the ear wax problem went away. I wrote about it here http://www.danasview.net/mar05.htm Dana
