Guest guest
Hello all, August 5th, 2006 will be the first annual Oregon ZooWalk for Autism, benefiting the Autism Research Institute. The website below will take you to the title page and more info should be up soon, but in a nutshell, the we start checking in at 8am on the 5th and the walk begins at 9am and moves through the park and ends at the picnic area by the elephants. You can sign up as a team or an individual, and not only will there be goodies included, but you get access to the zoo for the day as well. We are still working out some details and I will post them as we secure them, but check out the website frequently for the latest and to sign up. We also need volunteers to help work the event and to help with set up so contact me at zoowalk@... for information or to volunteer. In addition to our event, the Oregon Zoo is opening its new COUGAR exhibit that day as well, so as part of the ZooWalk we'll be the first ones to see it! http://www.ariautism.com/zoowalk/portland/index.html ARI is the only major autism organization that focuses on research on effective treatments, and it is the only major autism research group that holds major conferences (the DAN! series) on educating parents and physicians in the best methods for helping children and adults with autism. Thanks in advance for your help and support. Eddie Keever www.zoowalk.com eddielxix@...
