How to give ALA at night:: 7yo and 4yo

Last round I decided to start my 7yo on the ALA. Everything was fine

until the night doses. I tried waking him up to give him the pills

and he fought me more and more everytime I woke him. Things like,

punching me in the face.

I've started another round and am now trying my 4yo on the ALA as

well. I don't expect any problems with him taking the pills because

he is so compliant. But, am wondering what to do about the 7yo. Any

suggestions on how to give the night doses to keep from waking them up.

I've read that the ALA burns the mouth if not in pills.
