Guest guest
At her worst, our girl at 3.0, had to be prompted to give even yes or no answers, so I know what you mean, although she had lots of language, but would talk " at " you not " to " you. I have noticed that a lot of 4 year olds do very well with chelation, or maybe that is just because ours was four when she started that I notice the quick progress other 4's have, I don't know. I am glad you appreciate the knowledge about the stall period. I almost hate to post that, don't want to rain on anyone, but feel it is important to be prepared, so you can tough through it. Couldn't you just kick that dr who puts off chelation?? That position is really indefensible and someone should do something about her. May you have many more wonderful improvements. Guest guest
, That's interesting about what you are saying re. 4 year olds and chelation. I am not sure... may this be a coincidence of the age of the kids and the time that many parents actually start chelating, while prior they would be trying this and that, this doc and that doc? I don't know, just wondering. But don't they say that the best results with biomed are very very early, just like with any other therapies?? I would say that parents 'waste' a lot of time, in general, trying different things before they actually find what's working for their children. We wasted 2 years, for example. >>>>I am glad you appreciate the knowledge about the stall period. I almost hate to post that, don't want to rain on anyone, but feel it is important to be prepared, so you can tough through it. Exactly. Please keep posting and preparing us. I am glad I know about this healing plateau now, and I was also very glad to know that yeast flare up and tiredness and other regression like behaviors may be normal when you are chelating, temporarily. Not knowing this before would always make me quit the rounds in the past..... and knowing about it now helped us stay the course and convince my husband to stick with biomed. Very important! >>>>Couldn't you just kick that dr who puts off chelation?? That position is really indefensible and someone should do something about her. It's not only putting it off, which is terrible, but also advising people to do the 8 hr protocol with DMSA. On the 8 hr protocol, we saw absolutely no progress with my son, and we were doing DMSA that way for over a year. He got a lot more compulsive and stimmy....and never started talking....until now. So yes, I agree, , beware of her!! I think there should be a biomedical clearinghouse or something, and we should not have to worry about naming certain docs so people could be warned to THINK TWICE and RESEARCH before they try anything anyone prescribes for them! Guest guest
Could be a coincidence about the timing, or could it be more of a factor of just when the developmental delays overwhelm them or could it be the brain development of 4 year olds make them good candidates? I don't know. And yes, they say the earlier the better, but just casually observing this is not always so. For example, I know you say this is not true for you, but at 2 we were not noticing any problems, at all. It was not until 2 3/4 that we started being aware, could be that MMR shot at 2.4 months, I am just wondering. This is not what Dr. Amy Holmes reported in her initial study of chelation, rather that kids who started on chelation at 1-2 years were much better at recovering fully. She even mentioned she did not have any kids over 2 who were done chelating after the study was over, although I don't know the time period. We have great examples of kids who do well at all ages, so could be I am wrong, which has happened a couple of times already today, and its still early About the drs, if I want to say.... build a house, or buy any product, I can look up their track record of customer service online at the BBB. Why should it be so different for drs? I know on another board the suggestion was made to rate drs and it was reported that they had tried that before, but the drs who did not get good reports, threatened to sue, geesh! How else is a parent supposed to make an informed decision about drs? [ ] Re: Transfer Factor & progress report with DMSA!!!!!!! :-)))))) > > > Hi Everyone, > > Thanks for your support, again! Oh that makes want to get into a fistfight. What weasels. I think a rating system is a great idea. Nell
Guest guest
I guess one could ask a question re. a certain doc, and people can respond, like they do now sometimes, and ask to be contacted off list. Then the two can exchange experiences privately.... lanellici <lanellici@...> wrote: > I know on another board the suggestion was made to rate drs and it was reported that they had tried that before, but the drs who did not get good reports, threatened to sue, geesh! Guest guest
Me too, although have never been in a fistfight but believe you should try everything once. You can check out every other service, but you have to pay a fee to check out a dr. There are some insurance companies that now are advocating patients check out the scorecard of hospitals on the particular surgery you are undergoing, but nothing for the drs. There is an organization that if a dr/professional does something really bad, a report is made, but the public cannot access it, I don't believe. Also, not an attorney, but know a few, and I think if you state your OPINION and make sure you word it that way, I don't think a dr can sue. We're still allowed to have an opinion, right? Guest guest
A google search of " doctor ratings " brings up a variety of sites. I didn't specifically look at them, but some of you may want to.
