Guest guest
Are you specifically deling with lead? If not, consider ALA. S S
My son has developed an allergy to DMPS. Our DAN! says that a child
allergic to DMPS will likely also be allergic to DMSA. Does anyone
know this to be true? Anything written on this? Any experience with
this? Thanks!

_______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web! I ask because the NP I just took my dd to told me she thought she was allergic to ALA. She got hives when she took it. At that time she didn't know she had a metals problem & ALA was a chelator. She was taking large doses of ALA infrequently. After finding out she was metals toxic she now beleives it wasn't a true allergy but a reaction to taking a chelator improperly (not taking half life into account). Just wondering if this might be a possiblility in your situation.
Guest guest
, What dose and dosing schedule are you using? S S
Our DAN! believes that my son is having a Sydrome
reaction to oral DMPS. His symptoms are red skin (not a rash)
surrounding his eyes, goopy eyes, and runny nose - all beginning
morning of day 2 of round and ending 1-2 days after round is
completed. This happened on at least 4 consecutive rounds. He has
completed about 25 rounds of oral DMPS/ALA.

I have heard of this happening before and even have a friend that it
happened to.

I have not tried TD-DMPS. I think the reaction would be the same.
Plus, I have had a problem with the chelator getting on MY skin -
just from holding him, playing with him, etc. I have amalgams and
became quite sick for about a day. I am planning to conceive and
will not take any chances with TD.

I personally don't like to do ALA alone. We have done it before. It
appears to be unhappy and uncomfortable for both my NT and ASD boys.
And that can't be a good thing.

_______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web! Guest guest
Correct. Never has. We started chelating him when he turned 3.
> My son has developed an allergy to DMPS.
