Guest guest
My son is really stimmy lately, more so than usual. Very verbally stimmy, howling and saying " yyyeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss " over and over. Its driving me totally INSANE and its starting at school now too. He is doing MB12 shots and we have played around with his folinic acid dosage off and on because we suspected he wasn't tolerating it well. I may not have taken him off it long enough for us to see a difference without. My gut is telling me its either the folinic acid or the Reduced Glutathione cream from Kirkmans. Has anyone seen this with either product? Could it be one of these or should I look elsewhere? We have a yeast protocol in place and I'm not seeing any of his other yeast issues. He recently finished 10 days on/5 off/10 on of Flagyl for bacterial and 21 days of Nizoral. I just read that too many probiotics may not be good either. We increased his probiotics because on his last MOAT his good yeast was very low. Any suggestions other than earplugs?? thanks Kerrie
Guest guest
My daughter's stims always return with b12. I don't use glutathione, but I know someone who's son who never really flapped became a crazy flapper after the glutathione started. She only did a few doses and the flapping went on for weeks. I'd get rid of them one at a time, and even the folinic, just to see what happens. -------------- Original message -------------- From: ratlenhum@... Guest guest
Some have problems with glutathione because they don't need it. Consider discontinuing it to see what happens. Guest guest
---My 15 year old son was howling alot and also started " slipping away " further. I noticed this after he had to have a tooth surgically removed because the roots were twisted. His autism doc asked if he had Nitric Oxide(laughing gas) As I recall he did have this along with an " amnesia " drug through an IV. He also got Nitric Oxide several times since 2002 which is when I began noticing regression, increased OCD,stimming, etc. He prescribed vancomycin for clostridia also, because has a history of Gut bugs, also Diflucan for Yeast, which he has always had a problem with. The Nitric Oxide causes OXIDATIVE STRESS. The plan is HBOT to oxygenate the cells, and possibly Glutathione to help detox. has been on the Vanco and Diflucan(added activated charcoal for detox symptoms) for 2 weeks and I see much improvement. He is returning to where he was a couple of years agao. Lindy `````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` .. Guest guest
It could be either the folinic or the glutahione. Both have produced similar results for us. Discontinue both and throw away the glutathione cream. it is very common even for kids who need extra glutathione to do badly on this. If you want to try glutahtione again, try lipoceutical glutathione from the Wellness Pharmacy or similar outlet. It seem to be much less problematic Good luck Steve > -------------- Original message -------------- > From: ratlenhum@... > My son is really stimmy lately, more so than usual. Guest guest
Could his yelling be a sign of good things to come? Maybe he is detoxing and feeling raunchy right now. > > It could be either the folinic or the glutahione. Very verbally stimmy, > howling and saying " yyyeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss " over and over. This was my son because of a few supplement intolerances, especially EFAs, and also when it was time to remove the EFAs. >>Its driving me > totally INSANE and its starting at school now too. Both mB12 and folic acid caused a lot of yeast for my son. > My gut is telling me its either the folinic acid or the Reduced Glutathione > cream from Kirkmans. Glut can also cause yeast. And some kids don't tolerate the cream base. > We have a yeast protocol in place and I'm not seeing any of his other yeast > issues. He might have new yeast issues now. My son's yeast symptoms changed over time. Try increasing the protocol, see if that helps. >> He recently finished 10 days on/5 off/10 on of Flagyl for bacterial > and 21 days of Nizoral. I just read that too many probiotics may not be good > either. I can't give my kids probiotics any more, or they will have a gut imbalance toward too much bacteria. I can relate, and while hope it is going to prove to be something he stops doing eventually in the meantime we find that milk thistle seems to help.
