Guest guest
Thanks for the link Dana. We have battled yeast for many years but he cannot point blank tolerate any of the azoles antifungals, only nystatin and amphotericin. I do not know whay this is. He regresses on ketaconazole and diflucan and does not improve at all, after perservering for some weeks after which die off would have reduced. He certainly has got major yeasty behaviours that come over in waves. Currently trying kyolic garlic and after thinking about it & reading the list here,I'm trying him on GSE in caps to try & avoid sore throat. He is scd which entails using dried fruit and honey as part of a balanced scd diet, or else we are really really struggling to get calories in. Even 4 yrs ago when i removed every single sweet thing in his diet for a couple of years we didn't conquer yeast. Scd is a lot more well balanced in my experience, but his eczema is really bad again. I have sent off OAT hair analysis, urine toxic metals, and food allergy combo off the American labs. At least it will give us a more up to date picture as it is a while since we have had an OAT despite all the treatments he has been on. He does MB12, we have a HBOT which has been really helpful and which I should be in now with him! LDN, chelation have all been helpful as scd but major gut motility and yeast/viral/detox issues remain. The metals just keep pouring out of him with no sign of going down whatsoever. The rest of the family have sent off hair and urine challenge tests so I will let you all know if anything interesting shows up there. All the best, many thanks again for your help Sue > > Spmething has gone badly wrong since we started the DMPS > > though, he HAS BEEN CHRONICALLY CONSTIPATED, > > > Yeast can be constipating. I was never able to even consider SCD because my son did not tolerate most of the foods, even with enzymes. Eczema is often caused by food intolerance. My son did not tolerate anything orange or green until the end of ALA chelation plus a few supplements, especially selenium. Dana
Guest guest
I didn't know viruses could cause yeast. He is on natural antivirals and we did the High dose vit a 2 day thing the weekend before last. He had really strange stools afterwards -very yellow and dry- vit A coming out? and he hasn't been well since. As the only Vit A i can get hold of it srom USA on prescription (the UK versions have aspartic acid in which I do not want him to have) I have had to rely on the vit a from CLO (Nordic Naturals which he's had for a few years) to keep a vit a intake going. He has still got the horrendous pimply raised pin prick rash coming out all over his torso and it has now come out on his legs, like something is pushing out and raising his skin at those points. It is also very itchy. Never seen this before. I have used Candex etc before but it never did great and I have been so concerned about reflux that giving it on an empty stomach concerned me re; irritation. What would you do? Maybe he is reacating to the nuts in his diet. I await the Food combo results from GPL! Many thanks, Sue > > Thanks for the link Dana. Guest guest
Hi there Dana, and listmates, We used vit a palmitate (referring to the Sid Baker document so it seems unlikeley to be the vit D, and it doesn't sound like the vit a as it is all over his torso, really bad on the back and under the arms at the back, not the neck. Also it came on on day 4 of the DMPS disaster trial. This would make it 10 days after the High dose trial..is this too long for toxicity? I was wondering if you could advise what I should do regarding 's really appalling constipation. Yesterday I changed his scd diet to scd with nothing at all of fruit or sweetened with honey. He has been eating lots of vegetable soups with scd prepared lentils (only veg in them carrot, onion, garlic, celery, tumeric, usual herbs, red soaked lentils) with organic chicken, eggs, cashew nuts, organic peanut butter. He has also had 2 cups a day of carrot & celery juice with a tiny touch of lemon, maxed up with 3000mg vit c in divided doses (he uses all this up...keep seeing low vit c on lab tests ) He also ate mashed carrot & swede & cauliflower with chicken and homemade salmon fishcakes (he doesn't have much salmon anymore but it was that or something sweet tonight as so hungry)Everything homemade and no additives. Drinking lots of water. He is on all the usual supplements. I started supplementing betaine Hcl with main meals and dandelion to help phase II of his liver detox but no other changes since last weekend with the dmps chelation round (we usually do DMSA & ALA with improvements each round. Here's what I have taken out due to extreme PROLONGED RECENTLY candida drunken manic possessed behaviours and I have had a lot of help from Williss who suggested many useful things we have implemented. oranges, satsumas, raisins and all dried fruit, honey. Prune juice. I cannot understand why he is requiring enemas! He should be going to the loo with all this veg. I bet a lot of the listmates wish their child ate as much as and yet he is in an awful way. I dare not give liquid paraffin anymore as with a leaky gut I have been warned off it as it goes to the brain. I feel as if all my options to help him are narrowed on the anti candida scd diet. Any input from anyone greatly appreciated. I am worn out from seeing him in such a way. Please, how else can I help support detox pathways? He is on MB12 shots, HBOT, chelation, LDN (all established and were helping) He has daily epsom salts baths, coconut oil and EPO body rubs, reflexology DIY from a book style several times a day (he likes this) We do cycling and walking for fresh air and relaxation. I am fed up!!! Sue > > I didn't know viruses could cause yeast. Guest guest
Sue, I don't see anything about Magnesium ... I suggest that you crank up the Vitamin C (we use allergy C) and Magnesium. I mean really crank it up ... the worst that should happen is an extreme " success " ! Once you get things going well, then back down to where things move smoothly. Also, add in some digestive enzymes if you aren't already. Good luck ! Guest guest
As far as I know Oxypowder is SCD legal. And it definitely works for moving the bowels (sometimes too well ). My son never had the rash on his neck. It started on the top of his thighs, and moved up to his torso. It can't hurt to drop the CLO for a week. >> Also it came on on day 4 of the DMPS > disaster trial. This would make it 10 days after the High dose > trial..is this too long for toxicity? If the high dose protocol eliminated the measles virus AND fully loaded your child with vitamin A [this is what it did for my son], then giving ANY daily vitamin A might cause toxicity. My son had this problem, I was unable to supplement with ANY vitamin A for many months. Right now [more than a year later], I can give him a small dose of vitamin A [like maybe 1000 IU] about once per month or so. And now that his body converts carotenes, I usually give it to him that way, rather than CLO. > I was wondering if you could advise what I should do regarding > 's really appalling constipation. Lots of magnesium worked at my house. My son did not tolerate anything orange or green until the end of chelation. Someone here posted that she removed those foods from her child's diet and it eliminated a constipation problem, so you can try that also. >>keep seeing low vit c on lab > tests ) Increase the dose. I am doing very high dose vitamin C right now, and my son's language is exploding. It is kicking up quite a bit of yeast tho, because it is addressing virus issues. > Please, how else can I help support detox pathways? > He is on MB12 shots, HBOT, chelation, LDN (all established and were > helping) All of those [except HBOT] tend to increase yeast, even if the child is SCD. You can try increasing your yeast protocol, because yeast is commonly constipating. >> He has daily epsom salts baths, coconut oil and EPO body > rubs, EPO was constipating for my kids when they were deficient, apparently it pulls a lot of magnesium for proper absorption. Try increasing magnesium, see if that helps. Dana
Guest guest
-This is very kind of you - thank you. Was your son's rash itchy? raised? I googled it to see what Vit A toxicity looked like but can't find anything. It is quite possible that it could be this. To confuse matters he did HD Vit A the first weekend, then 4 days later he started the betaine HCl supplement (he has chronic reflux- this has massively improved but we have a mystery rash, which can be a symptom of allergy to this as well...) The following 2rd weekend he did the DMPS thing. The rash started on the Monday I think. The constipation & regression started that weekend. Stopped DMPS last Monday. We have just had the third weekend and the major regression continued. All like yeast symptoms. He is on liver support and strict candida diet modification and just started to improve today. So bad yesterday off school. Rash still bad. Reflux better. Culprits? Vit A? Betaine Hcl? Virus? (DIE OFF? TOXINS? DMPS? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHHH!!! newbies let this be a lesson to you all to do things well apart and logically. Guest guest
Vit A toxicity feels like you are being poisoned (at least to me). I don't get any rashes, but I do feel really bad and can't do much at all. Its accute and it passes after several hours. A rash to me sounds more like dmps, which can last a few days, and is itchy but nothing too uncomforable. If its dmps then it means you need to ease off a bit. Could the challenge have triggered it? In any case I've definitely gotten rashes from dmps - felt very itchy. All I did was stop for a while and its been fine since. Constipation & regression both sound like yeast as you say. Don't worry *everyone* does too many things at once. Its the only thing which makes us slow down and do one thing at a time. . " sue_lwsn " <sue@...> wrote: > > Was your son's rash itchy? raised?
