Guest guest
Nell, this is great! The TF just seems to make them feel better, also. I spoke with a dr this past weekend who said that TF is his first line product for kids with immune problems, even before LDN, or Actos (liver problems) which he said he has not had much luck with and with TF no side effects. We noticed the same thing with the language, deeper, richer conversations and an increase in thinking about others and how they feel. The motivation is off the top, she recently planned an entire birthday party for her dad, from the cake to the games and the invitations and the sports theme (her idea) was appropriate for HIM. Before he would have gotten a Barbie party. Much more independent also, dd noticing she is not right next to her all the time now. The TF advanced, but not the TF advanced plus has maitake mushrooms in it, Nell, if that is what you got. Someone told me to stay away from the plus version as it had some things that most kids could not tolerate. If you just ordered the plain TF, you could get the advanced next time. I am thrilled this worked for you. The dr I spoke to suggested we increase the TF to 3 capsules. The protocol is to give daily for 4 months, then pulse it a few days a month for the next 4 months. That is our plan. Keep us posted, fingers crossed this will be your answer. [ ] Transfer Factor -- I've been holding off posting in case it was a fluke...but after 5 days I really don't think it is. Hooray for transfer factor! n is back to doing great. So far the big area of improvement is in flexibility, frustration tolerance, and emotional openness. Some examples: we joined a pool in the neighborhood, in someone's backyard, and yesterday we walked the 1/2 mile there to find the gate locked. Just last week that would have meant grumbling at least, many dark looks, and then picking on his sister. Instead he was joking about it and completely able to roll with the situation (I otoh was grumbling and full of dark looks). We've been having these amazing conversations both about how he felt before he got sick (at 18 months) and during. His ability to understand how other people feel has made a giant leap. This morning he has plans to write his ittle sister a note apologizing for the way he treated her in the years that he was poisoned. (He told me, " I was really mean to her. But I was possessed. My body was doing it but not my brain. " ) It's true that he's gotten to this place before, and even though he stayed there for months, eventually he regressed again. But this time I'm hopeful that the deeper issue of immune imbalance is being addressed, and maybe maybe maybe that nasty EBV will stop reactivating. Lang at A1 suggested mushrooms (no, not that kind!) for immune support, so after a bit I'm going to try those and possibly another course of Virastop as well. Other ideas welcomed -- and a big thanks to , Anita, and Anne for helping me get a grip on this subject. Nell

Guest guest
I was wrong, the TF advanced does not contain the maitake mushrooms, those are in the TF advanced plus, which we didn't use because it has inositol hexanicate (sp?) and we don't do inositol very well. Guest guest
Hi, Which TF are you using? Should I start with the TF Classic or TF Advanced? My son, 7, has done extremely well on Virastop and I wanted to add this, I noticed that the TF classic is from cow but the Advanced also uses egg. Not sure which would be better. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Nell! Congratulations! That is amazing! Please forgive me for jumping in w/ questions but we have major immune stuff going on so I am very interested in this for my kids. My kids also have a severe problem with dairy so unless this is casein free, it probably would work. I didn't see that on the site, does anyone know. Would this be the same as Colostrum Gold by Kirkman? They say their's is casien free. Anyone know anything about it? Isaac has elevated EBV. I don't know about Abi but she is the one that is MOODY and MEAN most of the time. Does having elevated EBV make them that way? Thanks for helping me get up to speed on this. The longer I am on this list, the more I wonder why I am paying our DANs. I have been going for years and not had any of the great suggestions I get from you all. Thanks for being so willing to share you experience and knowledge with me!! > > I've been holding off posting in case it was a fluke...but after 5 > days I really don't think it is. Guest guest
Thanks , I am going to look into it. > > > > I've been holding off posting in case it was a fluke...but after 5 > > days I really don't think it is. Guest guest
> > Hi, Which TF are you using? Should I start with the TF Classic or TF > Advanced? I'm using classic, 2 caps a day. I'm going to follow 's guidelines and go up to 3 caps/day. And maybe do a trial of inositol and if that goes OK I'll try the Advanced. I want those mushrooms. But Classic is working well. The bottle doesn't say casein-free. I wonder though -- has anyne with dairy problems tried it? I don't know the chemistry of what part of colostrum is left when you end up with TF. > I don't know about Abi but she is the one that is MOODY and > MEAN most of the time. Guest guest
Dear Nell, > This morning he has plans to write his ittle sister a note apologizing > for the way he treated her in the years that he was poisoned. (He told > me, " I was really mean to her. But I was possessed. My body was doing > it but not my brain. " ) Thank you for sharing this with us. Could he be any sweeter? Now I'm picturing him bent over a desk, wearing a beret of course, writing his apologies. I have such hope tonight from all the wonderful stories from you, Anne, , Abid, , everyone. Recovery road is packed with travellers :-) Anita
