Guest guest
> > This is great, beyond words, great, Dana! Music to my ears and I hope you are right. Lasted two days, then he started pulling stickers off things again. So he still needs a little, just not as much as I was giving. I would give him fish oil, and he would be " off " for several hours, then GREAT for a few days, then " off " again. I will try mixing the lower dose of fish oil with flax oil [this worked before] and see if that helps. If not, a friend of mine recommended I try krill oil. Guest guest
> >What is CLO Cod liver oil >> and Dana what made you decide to drop the fish oil? My son would regress for several hours after I gave it. However, it does appear that he still needs it, so I will be experimenting a little [see previous message]. As a general rule, figuring out WHY my son did not tolerate something has been VERY beneficial. Sometimes the WHY is because he no longer needs it, sometimes it is because something ELSE needs addressing. Dana

Well, he definitely did NOT need the flax! OMG! I had forgotten how nasty he was when he no longer needed flax! Anyway, so that did not work. I went to my local Henry's Marketplace, where " everybody knows my name " LOL, to decide if I wanted to buy the krill oil. But instead, I decided I wanted to figure out WHY the fish oil was causing this issue. I sat down on the floor in front of the EFA section, which they have conveniently [NOT] divided into a section and an endcap about three aisles over from the section, and pulled out the fish oil I had been using. Stared at the label for a while. Pulled out other brands, and stared at those labels. The other fish oils contained vitamin E, which my son is fully loaded and does not tolerate more. The one I had purchased, did not list vitamin E on the label. But! It did list d-alpha tocopherol in the ingredient list! So, it has vitamin E, even tho not in the nutritional facts section of the label. This is hopefully his problem with being " off " for a few hours after giving the fish oil. I found ONE brand, conveniently [NOT] located at the bottom of the endcap display, that had no added d-alpha tocopherol, which I purchased. I should know if it works in a day or so.
