I suggest the Dr. Doris Rapp book, " Is this Your Child? " , keeping a food diary, the Feingold diet, and allergy testing. Also, consider probiotics, and flaxseed oil. All of these issues, like yeasts, etc. overlap so much in our kids, and it's really hard to decide which one is the most important cause, but it's been my experience that any way to lessen the burden in our kids bodies is helpful - aach little thing is just one more piece of the puzzle put into place. *CAPD- Can you please tell me what ABR/BAER stands for? I thought that my son showed symptoms which matched those that I read about for Central Auditory Processing Disorder, and I finally got the school district to agree to pay to have him tested by a specialist. Even though all of his scores were in the range to qualify for CAPD, the final report from the specialist said that since he had ASD and MR labels, that they often caused the same score results, and thus, he was not eligible for a diagnosis of true CAPD, because using the recommended things for CAPD would probably not yield significant results, and would waste time that could be better spent using things which were specifically designed for kids with ASD,etc. I saw that and Noble had a book on CAPD, and the author stated the same thing in this book. Personally, I feel as though if his scores indicate CAPD, then they should give him that label, and try some of the things, and see if there is improvement. Any out there with any additional info or thoughts on this? Thanks! --------------------------------- All-new - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster.
