Hi Dr. Popplewell,

Funny, I was just thinking about this and wondering about what was

really going on. From what said, her granddaughter's yeast

seemed quite under control with the transfer factor, then some blood

tests were run which showed elevated ammonia. Either before or

after the blood test was run (I think after?), noticed the

red ring on her granddaughter's bum. When took her

granddaughter off the transfer factor, her granddaughter got " the

mother of all yeast infections " . Her doctor put her on Diflucan,

which has very effectively brought things under control.

has noticed additional progress with her granddaughter on Diflucan

and off transfer factor, including the ability to follow 5 instead

of 3 step directions, better small motor control, etc.

We had a somewhat similar experience with LDN. My son did great on

it for a while, then when I finally pulled him off, I realized,

because of the gains we saw removing the LDN, that he had probably

built up some significant ammonia while he was on LDN. And yes,

when we took him off, yeast got more challening to control. My son

is on diflucan as well.

Is there something about immune boosters/modulators that could cause

elevated ammonia? Something in the cycle? What, if anything, does

ammonia have to do with the immune system? I guess what I am saying

is that I query whether transfer factor could somehow cause elevated

ammonia which could in turn cause the red ring saw (and that

we have seen alot, for a long time assuming it was yeast).

Thoughts? , please feel free to correct any misstatements I

may have made.....
