Guest guest
I don't know for sure about the gender difference. I can tell you that my sister who is 2 yrs older got the chicken pox from her daughter when she was in her early twenties. She did not take any anti-virals - not sure if they were not available at that time or if she just didn't go to the doctor. She was very, very sick for about 3 weeks and covered from head to toe with pox. A man that I once worked with told me that he had them as an adult and had taken some anti-viral medication, not sure which one, but he said that his case was pretty mild as well. So I think for sure that the anti-viral is extremely important for any adult who becomes infected with chicken pox. Sheresa > > > > > > My brother in law got the chicken pox at 30 and almost died.
