Guest guest
HI, I think my son has a yeasty-type rash on his lower back, upper buttocks. It comes and goes over the day, usually almost invisible in the morning and flaring up at night. It has started to bother him; perhaps itch. It feels warm to the touch. This started when I added OLE 8 weeks ago. We've also gone to oral DMSA from transdermal. I've been using probiotics and GSE for about 4 weeks. I can certainly up the GSE (only using 2 drops/day right now). It doesn't seem to get worse while we are on a chelating round. I'm off to the HFS to find some virgin coconut oil and perhaps some type of topical Nystatin from Walgreens. I'm considering a call to the doctor for some prescription Nystatin (topical), but I hate going to the doctor. So, will these rashes change so much over the day? I find it interesting that the rash disappears overnight when he isn't getting any supplements for 10 hours. Thanks, Pam
Guest guest
Hi, Not sure about the hourly changes because I never really looked at it that way, but my little girl gets a rash in the exact same places, and on the back of her knees, creases of her elbows, forearms, and sides of her belly. We have only been using DMSA/ALA orally for 43 rounds now. Her rash is 100% related to yeast. The only thing that has ever cleared it up is Nystatin, 4ml a day 3 times a day. The first time, it took almost 6 months for it to totally go away. Every time we stop Nystatin it comes back to varying degrees. We only chelate every other weekend, and beyond a doubt, it is worse after a round. I would definitely try the Nystatin. We get ours from a compounding pharmacy without any additives. Good luck! -------------- Original message -------------- From: " noaholiviaian " <phaselow@...> HI, I think my son has a yeasty-type rash on his lower back, upper buttocks. Does it look like this? http://www.danasview.net/virus_rash1.jpg This was my son's rash when viruses were leaving his body. He would get these spots ALL OVER HIM, and they would be itchy. >> We've also gone to oral > DMSA from transdermal. This will also tend to increase yeast, altho the rash might be related to intolerance of the oral DMSA. > So, will these rashes change so much over the day? They can, yes. > I find it > interesting that the rash disappears overnight when he isn't getting > any supplements for 10 hours. Yes, this might be an indicator that he does not tolerate something.
