Zinc causing yeast die-off symptoms????

Hi everyone,

We've just started doing some extra supplements and I'm not sure

what just happened. My son's DDI hair test (I posted it a few weeks

back) meets counting rules 3 and 4 and has high copper. I've also

discovered he has a yeast problem. Anyway, I started him on plain

whole milk yogurt in late September and got a WOW of die-off

reaction (2 days of hyperness + mild hand flapping (new)) followed

by lots of poop for a few weeks including some wonderful yellow

stuff. After that I got big improvements in his focus and

attention. I kept up with the yogurt and had 1 more die-off event

(mostly yellow poop) when I changed yogurt brands. About 1 week

ago, I added about 1/2 cap 2X/day of Jarrow probiotics and got no

die-off reaction at all. I've kept using it tho.

On Saturday, I started DS on an extra 8 mg/day of Zinc citrate

figuring that I'll increase it slowly to try to get his copper

down. (He also gets about 7.5mg/day in his multi). Anyway, today

(Wed)I've got weird behavior and yellow poops. A little hyper,

sensitivity (instant crying when he doesn't get his way), not

wanting to nap etc.

Do you think this is die-off behavior or MORE yeast???? Caused by

the extra zinc???

What do you think???
